Can anyone tell me more about this? What type of things an a girl do there? What's the price? The more info the better- THANKS!!!!!

There's actually quite a few things you do at the Princess Fantasy Faire:

-Learn to act like a knight or princess show
-Decorate your own crown
-Libby Lu-type makeover with hair, face painting and accessories
-Meet and greet with Princesses.

There's more about cost and stuff here.

Royal Coronation Ceremony and Princess Storytimes are shown several times a day, there is a schedule of performances listed at the front of PFF. Otherwise, you can pay to have your princess' hair/make-up done (actionvaughn's link gives details), or wait in a horrendous line for meet/greet with princesses or a prince (but you won't know who until you see them), or decorate a crown/color inside a princess shop where they sell overpriced princess attire. ;)

I take it your opinions on PFF aren't the best....:lmao:

So is the makeover alot like the Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique at WDW? Updo, makeup and fake nails with a princess sash? It was $45 there. They moved the princess meet and greet to this tent?? That's how it was at WDW and the whole time we kept saying that was why we loved DL- no huge ques to meet the princesses! Is ther a link that may have a sample schedule of events?

The link from actionvaughn actually has info that the PFF doesn't do makeovers. They have face painting (for boys, girls of any age), but the makeover is at LibbyLu in DTD.

I don't have a link to the schedule of events, but we waited in line for DS to see his princesses. About an hour in line to see three of them (by the time we got to the front of the line there was Belle, Pocahontas, and Princess Minnie...see the end of my Dec trip report for how much he enjoyed Belle, lol). While in line we missed the coronation ceremony and the next was over an hour away. But the storytime was about to start and he wanted to see that. They have those quite often, where a princess comes out and tells her story. We sat down and a lady in waiting asked if DS would like to dance with the princess. Um, yes he would. So we moved to a different spot, and it turned out to be Sleeping Beauty, and he got called out to dance with her while she sang Once Upon a Dream. It was soooo cute, but he was sooooo tired. They also have a craft area that we didn't go to, and we didn't even enter their shop area, so I don't know if the face painting is in the shop or the crafts! They also have food/snacks in there. It's a big place! :)

Do they still do storytime at the princess store "Once upon a time" across from Peter Pan Ride?

No, they don't. Just about all princess viewing and activity is now only available in "PFFT" (sound that acronym out and that's about how I like it). No more stories with funny male CM helpers doing all the alternate parts in the Princess Shoppe. No more magical greetings in front of the castle. No more happening upon a princess in Fantasyland.

The only other places you might catch a glimpse of a princess are:

Ariel in her shell in King Triton's Gardens
Jasmine at Alladdin's Oasis Storytime
Cinderella or Aurora appear at Drawn to the Animation in DCA
Princess Meal at Ariel's Grotto in DCA

Is Princess Minnie always at the PFF or is that another random possibility?

I dislike how they hold the princess captive at PFFT.. UGH! I might as well eat and see them at Ariel's.. Geesh..

Random possibility, just like any other character that may or may not be seen there at any time. CM's are extremely clear that they cannot guarantee who you will see once you get to the front of that line.

Can you say "Marketing Ploy?" I knew you could! ;)

Man, Disney is so smart!! Haha.. It kills me too! I LOVE the Princesses, especially Princess Belle. But come on!! They're doing the same thing with Captain Jack holding him hostage on that island! Except you have no other way to see him.. But same thing. Disney likes to hold their characters captive I guess.. :confused3

You are too funny.

While in line at the PFF we saw Cinderella and Prince Charming leave, and then we heard that Mulan was there, but by the time got there it was Pocahontas. It would be SO hard to be a little kid set on one person, and to watch them leave!

In a way, I don't mind that they hold them captive, b/c you basically know where they will be. I get stupidly pouty when I expect something to be around and then I can't find it, so the wandering-around random aspect of characters (and Dream Teams) bugs me, and I find the captive way to be more "fair", in a way. I just wish others weren't so interested in seeing them when I am! :rotfl:

I like the idea of holding Captain Jack captive...just maybe up here in Tacoma, rather than on TSI. :rolleyes1

Speaking of marketing ploys, there is a post today elsewhere about the marketing/branding involved in the Disney Princess Shoppe in FL...why do they have to include "Disney" in the name? I never even noticed that (we already have a Prince Philip sword and shield, and I'm not sure there's much else in there for DS, so we don't go in), but it's just silly to me that they have to brand it even inside of Disneyland!

The only thing I like about the characters just walking around is the element of suprise for me.. Like ":scared1: OMG there's Princess so and so!!!" Or whatever.. But, the good part, like you said, bumbershoot, is you KNOW where they are.. So you're not on some crazy hunt for this silly character..

YES.. I have noticed that about the Princess Shoppe.. I think it's very strange it says "Disney".. DUH.. :confused3
