Is it going away? I thought I read something about this going away.

Anyone have more on this?

I don't know either, but every time we went by there (either on the train or walking), it was completely packed. This was last month. I think it is popular.:dance3:

I haven't heard they are doing away with it, but I've heard mixed reviews.

Personally I liked when the Princesses were around the castle where you'd EXPECT to see a princess.

It's by the railroad station by Small World. This is one of the things that I've heard the MOST complaints about - the ridiculous lines for not much time with princesses and then the peer pressure from your little ones to buy things. I hope they change it or get rid of it, I wouldn't wait in that line if they paid me (with a toddler anyway) - but if you want the interaction the Princess Meal at Ariel's is a good way to go.

I've heard some rumors that they may put the Pixies there when the movie comes out. I have NO idea when that would be.

This was the only thing we did not get to do while we were there last week. We walked onto just about every ride, but the lines at Fantasy Faire were ridiculous!

We did PFF on Tuesday around 12 or 1. We did not wait in line to see the princesses since we had done lunch at Ariels the day before. The lines for hair and face painting were about 90 minutes. We didnt wait for that either! There was no waiting for crown decorating, coloring, storytime, or the coronation. They also played games with the kids (hat hat crown (duck, duck goose) and redlight green light). During the coronation they danced around a May pole with the princesses. The kids did enjoy it.

i have mixed feelings about "PFF". my daughter enjoys meeting the characters and they really don't rush you through. that's the good side. on the flip side, the lines are horrendous and you never know which princesses you're going to get because they trade off fairly often so whomever is on duty when you get in line will probably go on break by the time you get up to the front. mostly the problem is the slow-moving line, often an hour or more.

Before the Princess Fantasy Faire, there was a great live Snow White show. DH and I really enjoyed it. I hope they get rid of the Princess and add another live show!

OH goodness! They have replaced the Snow White show with this?!?! :(
Sounds dreadful.

I want another show!

Please, please, please take PFF away, and put the princesses back in front of the castle where they belong! princess:

I agree.
We did PFF last year and I didn't care for it at all.
I still think I read someplace that it was going bye bye and soon, but I just can't find it. :confused3 Maybe I was wishing it bye bye :rotfl2:

The Snow White show is gone?! :sad1: I never got the opportunity to see it, shucks. Shows how long it's been since I've been to the park.

I really think Disneyland is trying to market on the same idea as the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique from WDW. Though the PFF is quite a bit different, Disney makes millions off the Princess franchise hence why I understand the PFF and the insane amount of merchandise offered.

Hopefully though they'll come up with a better plan for lines and wait times.

The line for Jack Sparrow in New Orleans Sq. is crazy as well. I took one look at Jack and one look at the line and said "Ok, you're not that hot." :rotfl2:

Why didn't you like PFF? I think I read somewhere here that you also called it PFFT! :rotfl:

Is it mostly just autographs, or is there anything else to it?

Should I not mention it to my DD7? We are also planning to do the Ariel character dinner.

Also, is the Pirate event on TS island any better?

The only bonus I see to having the PFF is that you know that you are going to meet princesses when you go there, and before the PFF, it was really hard to find Mulan and Pocahontas. On more than one occasion, we've waited in line only to get in there and have them change out the princess that DD wanted to see the most as we were walking up to her. And one time, DD had dressed up as Snow White, and as we got to the third princess, they switched out princess #2 and Snow White came in. DD tried to run back just to give her a hug, and the CM wouldn't let her because you are not allowed to go backward once you're in. I ended up carrying a sobbing 3 year old out of there.

The activities are great - DD loves to sit and color, and the storytelling and the coronation ceremony are cute, although I remember when the princesses used to come out and read stories to the kids in FL, and that was much better.

The shop is pointless, since you can buy all that stuff anywhere, and you can also get your face painted at other places, and you can get your hair done at Libby Lu in DTD.

I think it would be cool to have them put the princesses back over at the castle, and use the space for arts and crafts and maybe some kind of show. It's not worth 2 hours to wait in line for a random princess encounter. At the very least, they should post a schedule so that you have an idea of who you might see.

Hi Bret. I have only had one experience with PFF, and that was during our trip this January. PFF was fairly new at that time, and I think they were working out some of the kinks. There was absolutely no schedule posted, so you had no idea what was being offered. All we could find by showing up 15 minutes prior to opening time was a large line of people. We proceeded to follow the line (about 50-75 people deep). We then waited in line for over an hour and the line hardly moved an inch. We understood we were waiting for an opportunity to meet some princesses, but they wouldn't tell us who and you really couldn't see. I finally showed my frustration to a CM and asked exactly what is being offered at PFF? She rattled off some times for coronation ceremony and storytelling but would never say which princesses would be there. She was very secretive with her list and acted put out that I was asking for information. After waiting for another 30 minutes and the line not moving at all, we bailed without even seeing a princess. 90 minutes at DL wasted! :headache:

Anyway, I understand that there is now a schedule of different offerings clearly posted at the front of PFFT. However, I would never get back in that "meet the princess" que unless by the grace of God I was first in line. We may give PFF another try on our visit in Nov, but just drop in for a story or to see the coronation (after all, I do have princess crazed dd5!)

If you are planning on doing Ariel's, then I honestly would skip PFF. I'm sure your little princess will get some good time with her favorites during her character meal.

Mostly I refer to PFF as "PFFT" because I miss the magical times when by surprise you would see a princess in front of the castle and que up just to greet that particular princess. I miss the quaint little storytimes in the Princess Shop inside FL. I miss being able to ask a CM "When and where can I find Aurora?" and them being happy to tell me her schedule for the day. I also miss the character greets at the Animation Studio in DCA (but that's another post). :rolleyes1

Hope that helps explain my earlier negative posts on PFF. As far as Pirate Island goes, it will be a first for us in Nov. and I have read many postiive reviews on it and am excited to see the changes.

So, is Ariel ever at PFF or is she still at her spot by the castle at the grotto? :confused3 She is the only princess my DD hasn't seen that she would like to meet.
