What can anyone tell me about this? We are taking a HUGE family vacation in June and will have 6 "princesses" with us. What times is this offered? What ages is this appropriate for? Would young boys be too bored with this? Any other information you can give me?

There are shows and "storytimes" with the princess about every 20 minutes. There is also a coloring station and a place to make a paper crown with stickers. To see the princesses, you have to stand in a long line. We went on a day that wasn't overly crowded and DH still stood in line nearly an hour for us to get pictures. They have 3 princesses out for pictures, but it's random who'll be there. We saw Pocahontas, Jasmine and Sleeping Beauty. The girls enjoyed it. Older boys might get bored.

Here's some pics:

Thank you for answering. I was wondering how it was. Maybe I'll send the boys off to Jedi training while I stay with the girl's at the Princess thing.

Thanks for the pics. They are darling!

That's exactly what we did. But our little princess was still at least 60 minutes from the front of the line after Jedi was long over. . . Never again . . . .

I'd suggest if the lines look too long for the greet, try to find out if there are other PFF activities the princesses can get in on.

DS5 did get bored while waiting for DD4 to get her fill of princesses, but you don't want to miss the Jedi Training. If your son gets picked, you'll kick yourself! DH took DS over to Toontown.

The line for the princesses is very long, but it's nice being able to have pictures taken with them one at a time. The princesses really make the little ones feel special. It was the highlight of my daughter's trip. They can also get their hair done and face painting, but it seems that Libby Lu is a much better deal for that.

We just got back from Disneyland a couple of weeks ago and we stopped by the Princess Fantasy Faire. This was on Sunday, April 1st which was just the beginning to most of the spring break vacations. Surprisingly the park wasn't too bad on this day, but the line to the Princess Fantasy Faire was about a 2 hour wait at about 10:15 am (it opened at 10:00 am)! Needless to say that was too long of a wait for us, especially since we had a dinner reservation over at Ariel's Grotto the next day, and we knew we would get to see the princesses then. Anyways, if you do plan to go, I would recommend getting there early before it opens. I think we walked by the entrance about 9:30 am and there was already a line qued up, probably about 10 - 15 families deep?? I don't know what the wait would have been like had we joined the line at that time, but surely it must have been better than 2 hours!

We walked around a bit to look at all the other activities, but we didn't do any of them as we were planning to meet up with the rest of our party over at the Jedi Training. One thing I wish we would have done, however, was gone back to the Fantasy Faire on Monday before our dinner reservation so I could have had the girls get their hair done before getting their pictures taken with Ariel over at her Grotto. Oh, well, there's always something to look forward to on our next trip, right? ;)

Personally, I miss the meet and greets with the princesses in front of the castle. This way you could go up to the princesses you wanted to see and only had a minimal wait. The backdrop of the castle for your pictures was really nice too. And we didn't stay for the storytelling so I don't know how good it was, but I missed doing that in the princess store. All in all I think the idea of the Fantasy Faire is a good one, I just don't know if I'm crazy with the set up. It just felt like they were trying to fill in the "empty space" of the former Snow White auditorium. Now what would be even better is if they would have a Princess show in that auditorium, much like the castle shows they do at Disney World.

Okay, I'm rambled long enough...enjoy your trip. If you have girls that love the princesses, then by all means make a point to stop by here, especially if you don't have a reservation at Ariel's Grotto. Just be prepared to wait a little bit. :rolleyes1

Thanks, everyone for the information. Maybe we'll skip it this year. We have ressies for Ariel's Grotto, so that might be a better way to meet with the princesses. I don't want to spend too much time doing this!

I was told by a CM that the line dies down when it gets closer to closing time, which I believe is 6:00, so you may want to check it out then. You don't have to wait in line to attend the story telling or the coronation ceremony. DD4 loved that part too.

Since we're doing Ariel's Grotto as well, do you think it would be best just to do the story telling and other activities, and then do the meet and greet at Ariel's Grotto?

I think that is a great idea:thumbsup2 since that is the exact same thing we will be doing to.

That's probably a good plan. Although I loved the princesses at PFF and having the PhotoPass people there to take pictures, I don't know if I would wait that long (2 hours!!). It worked out for us because we had DD14 wait in line while DD4 got her hair done. When we were done, DD14 was just about to the front of the line. I would guess it was about 45 minutes.

So, I just noticed that you will be there in June. So will we! When in June are you going to be there?

Is this offered all year long and where is this held at? My daughter will be almost 4 years old when we go in December and I think she would love something like this as long as the lines are not too long.

Glynis, we will be in DL june 24th-28th:) my dds are mostly interested in meeting Ariel and Cinderella so I would hate to have them wait for over an hour in line, not knowing what Princess you are going to get:confused3 last I heard we can still meet Ariel in her clamshell so we will try that too....

Yes, PFF is an everyday, all-year event. They have storytelling and coronation ceremonies throughout the day. The only thing that has a line is to meet the princesses. Sometimes the line for hair-dos and face painting can be long, but if they have enough people working it will go quickly.

What costs and how much? Anyone have hair done there, any opinion or cost info? Never been to Libby Lu so can't compare.

Aw, shucks! We'll miss you! We're going to be there June 3-7. I can't wait!!!

Hairdos are about $18 - $22 with accessories being extra (crowns, hair extensions, etc.). My DD4 loved it and it kept her busy while DD14 waited in line for the princesses. I don't know how much face painting is. That's it as far as costs, unless you want to buy the dresses or other accessories.

Others have posted that Libby Lu is a better deal because for that price one hair accessory is included, plus other extras. We didn't even go over there, so I can't comment.

Do they post times for the coronation ceremony/storytelling, or is this just every 20 minutes? We'll be there late May with a 2yo princess of our own...

Also, I heard that the princesses still have charater greeting stations around Fantasyland. Is this true? If so, I think we'd rather do that than wait for two hours to meet who knows which princesses...
