Hi everyone,

We are doing lunch with the princess twice on our vacation (CRT and Akershus) and I know the kids will want to dress up as their favourite princesses. We found a Belle dress for the little one, but we are having a problem finding a bigger size for our very tall 6 year old. All the dresses we are finding seem to be for ages 4 and under.

We have searched Toys r us and Chapters (this is where we found the Belle dress, 30% off!), plus other smaller toy stores, Walmart, Zellers etc. we don't have a Disney store here in Ottawa, so I am at a loss of where else to look.

I am not interested in ordering from the Disney store in the US (customs etc).

So finally, my questions :)

1. What other places in Canada/Ottawa can I find Disney dresses over size 4 (specifically, she wants an Ariel dress)

2. If I end up not being able to find something here, how much will it cost for a princess dress at Disney? I am pretty certain that they will have a larger selection in sizing.

Thanks you! Excited! :cheer2:

Costco is starting to get the Halloween dresses in and a number of the girl styles are Disney Princess themed and come in a wide range of sizes. They do have an Ariel one and my almost 7 year old fell in love with it when we saw it last week at our local Costco. They aren't badly priced. You could also maybe try Winners/Marshalls.

I didn't even think of Costco! Thanks you! I'll check them out. Fingers crossed! Will also try Winners and Marshall's if Costco does not pan out.

And off topic, but Halloween costumes already? :(

I bought a Belle dress at Downtown Disney 5 years ago(size 14) they have up to size 16. We paid aroud 40$ at that time. Maybe you could try ebay... ;):)

The dresses were really expensive when we were down last year. I think they were $70. We were glad we'd bought ours at home!!!

Do you have Once Upon a Child in Ottawa? I've seen princess dresses there before. I've never bought one because they've always been larger sizes!

Wow. $70US:scared1:

I just googled Once upon a child, I did not see Ottawa listed in their locations list, which is too bad. Larger sizes seem so hard to find, I guess maybe they don't sell as well?

Holding out hope for Costco. Thanks for your suggestion!

Seems too expensive to buy a dress for our nine year old for bbb...she doesnt do dress up anymore, but wants to do it...i have searched many places....ebay, kiji, second hand...
