I never saw princess dresses in the parks that small. I was definitely looking, since I first brought my DD to WDW when she was 18 months old.
However, I did get her a skirted pink onesie that said princess on the chest. The skirt was a very soft pink netting--almost like tulle, but not stiff. It was sleeveless. We bought it in a store on Main Street-- the back of the Princess store (no idea on the name).
Thanks for the info! My mom was sewing the twins Snow White dresses for our trip in Dec., but we have changed our plans and are going in 13 days! I really wanted them to have Princess dresses. We'll check the DTD store!

No, the closest DS is 4.5 hours away. WE are arriving on a Saturday afternoon and we will have Sunday as a "free" day. I want to go to DTD for the scrapbooking store, also!
I did see a size 2 in a Belle Dress but in all the other dresses we found that size gone even at the Downtown Disney store. We did however buy a 4 for our neary 2 year old, it goes to the floor but we figured if we are paying that much we should get alot of use out of it.
I did notice today that DisneyShopping.com is having a sale on costumes maybe you will have luck there.
I talked to my mom this morning and she is going to get on the ball sewing their dresses. A few months ago I had bought patterns and material when Hobby Lobby was having a sale. The plan was for her to work on them so they would be ready for our Dec. trip. I finally got her on the phone this morning and she is coming this afternoon to get their measurements and start working on them! She is making Snow White (my favorite princess). I'm so excited!
Our DD(3) is very tiny (only 24 lbs)and we wears 12-18 or 18-24 month clothes. We took her to WDW last year and are going back in 2 days. She doesn't like baby clothes. I bought XXS costumes from disney shopping last year and this year and just shortened them and took them in a little. it is pretty easy since the tule just needs to be cut and the nylon easily taken up.
Good luck!
Holly
Just wanted to throw this in for future costumes, maybe, but I ordered my DD costumes from www.mydressuptrunk.com last Christmas and she loves these more than the DIsney ones because they are not scratchy and itchy. The are so soft and comfy and we got the Cinderella, Christmas Belle, and a Rapunzel one. She would always complain about the Disney ones and didnt wear them for very long. We have had much more success with these. They have them in sizes from 1y and up I believe.
Yes, Target has a verrry cute pink Princess dress for $14.99. I bought the size 1-2 for my toddler daughter. To me, it's cuter than the ones that Disney sells . (Just my opinion)
