I am wondering just how many little girls take their princess dresses on their cruises and when they wear them

DH and I are going to surprise our DD (4) with the Belle gown and accessories as a birthday gift for her to take on the cruise (All the costumes were 50% off at the Disney Store)

Please tell me your experiences.

Thank you!!

Quite a few, it's really cute, especially when they get their pictures taken with the Princesses - who eat it up! princess:

They also show up on formal and semi formal nights - although we were on the four night - our daughter wore hers to our "fancy lunch" - she'd missed Tritons the night before in the clubs and was disappointed - and to AP the last night. Your daughter won't be the only princess on board.

They sell the nice Disney World ones (the $55 ones) on the ship.

We saw a lot of little princesses on the cruise in Sept. we took my 4 yo granddaughter and her 3 princess dresses. She loved wearing them. There were several Belle's Cinderella and Snow Whites. They were too cute. At the Princess photo session, there were 5 little girls all at one time waiting.

We always see lots of little princesses on the ship too. I think it's a great opportunity to let the little ones play "dress up." We don't have children ourselves (if we did, you can bet my little girl would be decked out), so we always get a real kick out of seeing them wear their princess finery.

My DD3 and DD4 wore princess dresses constantly when feasible. The amount of attention they got really excited them!

I just bought 2 Minnie dresses from the Disney Store. I want to get both of my DD's pictures (them dressed as Minnie) with Mickey. I was very impressed with the quality of these dresses/costumes and I got both of them for a total of $34.

My DD wore Snow White for Halloween and will wear it onboard our next cruise next year. For Christmas I am putting together a dress up trunk with Jasmine, Belle, Cinderella, and Aurora, all which I bought at 50% off. Got the wigs and wands and will sew the costumes that she can easily put on and take off. Saw ALOT of mini princesses onboard the Wonder this past Sept 27 Hurricane Jeanne cruise.

My daughter wore her Cinderella gown to the princess autograph session; she would have worn it every day if we'd have let her.

In case anyone forgets their costume, they do sell them on the ship (of course, at a premium ;) ) .princess:

thanks I was wondering the same thing. I have minnie mouse for her to wear when we board and a few other princess ones. Im going to surprise her withe the deluxe belle for her to wear on the night we celebrate her bday. :D

you'll definitely have many opportunities for her to wear it - my mom and sister made our daughter one - rather than a Disney product - so she had her own "ball gown" type dress - quite elaborate - and she also loved all the extra attention she got.

When my daughter wore her Cinderlla dress for the princess gathering (9/19 Wonder 4 day cruise), all the princesses made a fuss over her. My daughter seemed to feel extra special during those magical moments. :cloud9:

I planned to get DD a Cinderella dress for this cruise since she was so in awe of her. I found a beautiful light blue ball gown instead of a costume & she can't wait to get a "big Cinderella and little Cinderella picture." LOL! I also found a very nice Belle costume over the summer and just picked up a Sleeping Beauty gown at 50%. I love to see her so excited about this. Truth be told, I probably get just as excited for her. princess:

This is a great time (post-Halloween) to pick up discounted princess dresses. My dd wore her Cinderella gown on the cruise and on Halloween, and I'll probably keep an eye out at Target for their clearances.
