Princess Dress

I would do crocs, flip flops or sandals but definitely not sneakers (looks extremely trashy IMO). :

I'm sure you didn't mean it as an insult, but I certainly don't think my 3 year old looked trashy in her expensive WDW get up with full length disney store Cinderella dress, crown etc, and her little pink Mary Jane style mesh tennis shoes. Nor do I think the tons of other adorable little girls wearing different types of tennis shoes with their dresses looked "trashy". You couldn't even see her feet with the long dress. In fact the Princesses made a big fuss over her shoes and how smart she was to wear comfortable shoes with her dress and how they'd like to have shoes like that. On that trip, she put on the dress at the hotel and refused to take it off all day. She has wide feet so very few flip flops fit her, plus she blisters real easily and anything plastic like crocs and most flip flops just don't work. Also, I'm not sure how flip flops or crocs with a formal look any less "trashy" than tennis shoes. :rotfl:

My daughter wore her Target dress (with sneakers!). We had a tough time convincing her to put it on. She had on shorts underneath and I brought a shirt with us. However, she loved the attention so much, she wore that dress every minute of everyday! Halfway through the first day, she leaned over to me and whispered, "Everyone LOVES my dress." Even on some of the chilly November nights I had a hard time getting her to put a sweatshirt on.

We got a princess dress at the disney store, but not the halloween ones. The ones they get into the store for spring are usually much more comfrotable, and cooler. We got one with a velvet top and sleeve bands lined with ribbon so it was not itchy. DD wors it all day on BBB day with spakly mary jane styles shoes with tennis shoe soles. I got the shoes at artget, and she said they were as comfy as tennis shoes. This year I got a friend to pick up the Tiana dress they have in the parks now (the top is made like a tank top and it is VERY comfy). I don't like waiting and risking not finding our size. I made a cape of sparkly material that matched, and lined it with minky (think soft and warm). We go in early March and it could be warm or cool.

To the OP:

If you're visiting WDW in November, remember that the weather can be variable--hot, cold or in between. Shorts and a t-shirt might be appropriate under the dress, or it might be necessary to add a long-sleeved shirt and be ready to bundle the little one up! *LOL*

I always had issues with ready-to-wear dresses as a child--not just costumes. The seams where the underskirts meet the skirt and bodice can be very uncomfortable, as well as some of the elastic, as noted by a PP. Just be sure your wife or someone checks things out in advance with the little one so she is one comfortable little princess! :)

Many little girls can't wear the costumes they sell in stores, either from Wal-Mart, Target OR Disney. They all tend to have some sort of scratch element at the waist or arms.

Have her wear some sort of knit camisole and shorts underneath. Then when she is done, she can take it off when SHE wants it off. You can have a sweater to put over the camisole if it's chilly out.

The key is to keep it fun and under HER control. And be sure to take some pictures early in the day in case it spends the rest of the day in the bag. :goodvibes

I bought this one at toy r us..
I think it looks better then some at the BBB
I only paid about $25.. (find a coupon and only pay $20)
There is a satin lining that is soft but can be a little hot, however if your going to winter months might be better

There are nice little bags and gloves for 8.99 too.
