I've read a lot about Princess breakfast and lunch in Norway. Anyone done the dinner? Same characters/princesses?!? How's the food? Thanks!

DW and I did it for our anniversary last Sept. Interaction with the princesses was great. Had plenty of time with each 1. Multiple CM's came and kept asking us what princesses had come to our table and then gave us and update of when to expect the next 1.
Food was very good. Both of us loved the salad bar particularly the cheeses and salmon.
I had the beef tips and DW the Traditional Kjottkake and both were very good.

Yes, I have read allearsnet. Thanks!

Thank you, gwb. I just hadn't heard anything one way or the other on the dinner there. It is order off the menu-correct? Is there a salad bar, as well? Thanks!

Yes we did the dinner last December. The interaction was great! You also got a pic with one of the princesses before dinner that they bring to you in a nice little folder.
I had the grilled pork chop and it was GREAT!
They don't have a salad bar but there is a cold bar with cheeses, smoked salmon, etc.

The menu from all ears is the same as when we were there and yes there is a salad bar

We have not been in few years my 8 year old DD and 5 year old DS have no interest in the princesses anymore, but it was always one of my favorite meals. We loved the cold buffet, our entrees, and the dessert. Yummy!

We always eat dinner at Akershus at each of our trips. Oddly, my daughters prefer it over CRT. ???? Much less expensive, so it works for me! I love that the photos w/ one of the princesses is included w/ the cost of your meal. On our first trip the photo was w/ Ariel. The past two trips the photo has been w/ Belle. The other princesses we've met during our meal have included: Aurora, Cinderella, Jasmine, and Snow White.
There is a cold food bar to begin your meal. It includes various meats (salmon, turkey, etc.), assorted cheeses, fruit, peel-n-eat shrimp, pasta salad, breads, and tuna/chicken salad. There's a variety of food choices to choose from for the entree. I've had something different on all three of our trips, and I've always been very pleased w/ my meal (pasta, pork chop, and chicken dishes I believe). For dessert they bring out one thing served family style which is a tray w/ three diff. desserts on it. I can't recall exactly--some type of rice pudding and two other things. I'm sure it's posted on allears.net what the dessert is. While I have always enjoyed my entree, I have never liked the dessert option. My family does, though.

I loved this meal - even dining there as an adult. The cold meats & salad bar was yummy - the shrimp salad was really delicious. DH had the chicken for dinner & it was probably the best chicken dish we've had on property - flavorful, moist - I'm hungry just thinking about it. I had the Salmon which was also great. The dessert was one share plate of three or four small items. I don't remember each one but they were all good. If memory serves there was a mix of chocolate & non-chocolate desserts.

We had a picture with Belle at the entrance & then Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, Ariel, & Belle all came to the table. This was by far the best character interaction opportunity I've seen. Definitely worthwhile, and I think a better deal than CRT.
