I'm taking my DD to Disney for her 6th birthday for 5 days (long weekend) and was planning on taking her to Cinderella Royal Table, Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall and 1900 Park Faire but am now thinking that might be just too much of princesses. So any others with DDs around that age, I'd love your input. My DD absolutely loves the princesses and we're planning for dinners for all these because of various allergies, she cannot eat the buffet breakfasts (dairy, eggs, nuts, etc)

Thanks for any thoughts.:thumbsup2

I don't think it is too many, as that is how many we had for our daughters 6th birthday! She had a great birthday trip and she did not get tired of seeing all of the princesses.......my son on the other hand :rolleyes1

have you thought of the Princess Tea at the GF? My friend did that with her DD and loved it -- not as much a princess meal as eating like a princess. They did BBB beforehand and had a girl's day with the afternoon tea. I think they even include a Princess and Me doll with the package. It can be pricey, but her DD still talks about it a year later. She said Aurora was there at some point, but I'm not sure if that's standard or how it works exactly... just love the photos and stories! :)

Just a thought!!!

We've done all three on one trip before with our two (then-) Princess-adoring daughter, and it felt just fine. The highlights of 1900 Park Fare, honestly, are the stepsisters. It's their show, Cindy and the Prince are just there as window dressing :)

And, of course, since you mentioned allergies, make sure that you get in contact with the restaurants and talk to the chef when you get there about maximizing the enjoyment of the meal for those in your party that have food allergies. We are lucky enough to have avoided those, but I have been seated at tables next to people who have gotten what I consider to be great attention from the chefs in finding things to eat that will work with any food issue.

We did all three for DD's 5th birthday: Sunday, Tuesday, & Friday. Not too much for us!

Thanks so much for the comments. I went ahead and booked all three. She's going to be thrilled:cool1:

I see you were able to book all 3- I can't get into ONE!! We are going Nov 28- Dec 8. My little girl's bday is the 7th. ALL of them are booked on the 7th. I was DREAMING of having her Bday dinner (lunch OR breakfast for that matter) with PRINCESSES!!! I wanted Cinderella's Royal table, but would do with any of the other 2 as long as Cinderella was there. But I can't get in.
Do you think there is a chance we could walk up to CRT??? Probably have wait for hour and hours :(

We just back two weeks ago and did all 3 with my DD6. We led off with 1900 Park Fare on Tuesday, did Akershus on Thursday and CRT on Saturday, all dinners. She loved each of them and they were all a little different in their own way.

CRT i do not believe takes walk ups. Akershus is a much bigger restaurant but the centerpiece is Belle in the yellow dress. Cinderella was there when i was there in may but Belle is my DD's favorite. You need to make those ADR's 180 out otherwise you have difficulty. The only thing i can tell you is keep checking online you never know. Also there is a cancelled ADR thread on here that may help. Good Luck.

I had no idea about the ADR thread-I'll check it out! Thanks!

We did the same 3 for my DDs 3rd B-Day last November. I was a little disappointed that Akershus and CRT had all the exact same princesses. The 1st trip when we did both there were differences. It also didn't help that we did them on back to back days, so the girls weren't all that interested at Akershus.

However, we LOVE 1900 PF!!! When we went in June, we just did Akershus BF and 1900 PF dinner and skipped the castle.

My daughters are 6 and 7 and we are doing CRT and Akershus, as well as Chef Mickeys (and the BBB). I think that's fine. FWIW, we have food allergies too, and from what I've heard they will accommodate you at all the buffets.

DD(5) likes to do all 3 on a trip. You can't have too much of the Princesses for her. If I had to cut one out it would be Akershus. We wouldn't give up eating in the Castle and in the recent year or two, more often than not you see the same Princesses at both those meals. DD still would prefer to do both though.

Gmouse, don't give up. Get online every day multiple times a day and try for them all. Cancellations happen. Book the first one you see, and then keep trying for the one you really want as you can always change it (at least until 48 hours before the ADR). I've gotten things I have been looking for with persistence. Right around the 45 day mark when trips have to be paid off, you should try even more than you have been (several days before and after) because people cancel trips and ADRs around that deadline. Don't count on a walk-up as it is unlikely, but do at least try if you don't find anything before your trip. If you try for a walk-up, try right when they open for whichever service you want. We had the first lunch ADR at CRT and were waiting outside to be called to go through the doors, and a man came up and asked if there was any availability for lunch for 4 for the day. To my surprise (as I had taken the only ADR day and time available for lunch for the entire week we were there), the CM said yes they could be seated right then. To my absolute shock, the guy looked at her and said no, we wanted something about an hour from now and she basically said now or nothing the rest of the day, and he grumbled and left. :confused3 I would have been jumping for joy! I can't imagine being given the opportunity for a walk-in at CRT and complaining that it was an hour too early!

Oh absolutely! I would have jumped right on it!! They must not realize how HARD it is to get in there! So they do take walk ins? At opening? I will def. keep trying but if nothing pops up-we'll try the walk in...can't hurt.
Let me ask this- my hubby thinks CRT is too much money for a dinner that she won't remember. I say SHE WON'T remember the WHOLE TRIP. But I want to take her (and myself:) since it's her bday. IF we don't get to do CRT at all...would you do Akershus or 1900 PF instead?? I just want her to get to see the princesses up close-mainly Cinderella and Belle....this little girl has LOVED them since she was able to focus on things! She just grins when she sees them :) We've never been to any of the 3 and can't compare or know what she would like better....would it be worth $160 for a dinner she won't remember, but we will. or should we just do Akershus/1900 PF?? We want to hit one that has her 2 fave princesses at least!

Opening for CRT is before the park opens and you have to have an ADR to even get in the park. Another note... walk ups are based on no shows and cancellations. People don't tend to be no shows for CRT since it is a prepaid meal. If you miss it you are forfeiting $50 a person. (That is why CRT doesn't have walk ups.)

Keep checking though. Cancellations do occur... make sure to check at the 48 hr mark too as that is when you have to cancel to be refunded your money.

Edit to add: I'd do Askher before 1900 pf. My daughter loved princesses but was scared of the stepsisters and stepmother
