Now that means all the big ones - Carnival, RCCL, NCL, Viking and Princess all ending pre-cruise Covid testing for vaccinated. Disney is always the last one...but now they stand alone. Bets on when they will drop the testing requirement pre-cruise? Princess seems to be the last at Sept. 6th, so probably right after that is my guess.

Yeah, a friend is on a Princess Cruise now (took off this past Saturday) and had to do the COVID testing....

Maybe DCL will drop it by the end of the year?

Taking the current, just released CDC recommendations into consideration, my guess is by October 15, 2022 testing for vaccinated guests will be terminated.

I hope you’re slightly off- we sail the 10th! But that makes sense…

We are on a September 30th sailing and it might be Eeyore of me, but I feel like it’s going to be on sailings departing after September 30th. They’ve been using that for so many cutoffs lately.
Exactly what I was thinking.

I noticed that Carnival is stil requiring testing on cruises to Bermuda. Disney has been using the same rules for all its US-departing ships, so if Bermuda keeps its test requirements, it is possible DCL will wait to make changes until after the last cruise visiting Bermuda, which departs on October 31.

It’s because Sept 30 is the end of their Fiscal year.

The last cruise visiting Bermuda leaves on October 31 from NYC and ends on November 7 in San Juan.

This could be would make it easier as not to confuse people or workers. Just IMO

Bermuda is still requiring the testing, vaccination, and that you pay an extra $40 pp for a travel authorization so unless Bermuda changes the requirements all cruise lines will have to abide by that for Bermuda sailings.
