Has anyone been to the dinner there? Is it worth it. Daughter 3 1\2 loves the princesses. How is the food?

We went to the Princess Storybook luncheon at Akershus in Norway right after they expanded from breakfast only and loved it. My then 5 yr old daughter enjoyed seeing so many princesses in one place(we saw Jasmine, Snow White, Belle, Ariel and Aurora). We also went to Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast during that trip and felt the Princess meal in Epcot was "more bang for your buck" princess wise.

I would suggest you check Allears.net under Dining for the menus at Akershus. The kids meals were basic fare, but the adult offerings may be a little adventurous for some. (A lot of smoked meats if I recall!!) If you aren't sure about trying something different, I believe the breakfast menu is more typical eggs/sausage, etc.

Regardless, we enjoyed our meal and felt the character interaction was top-notch. I already have reservations made for our return visit in March :cool1:

we just had dinner there last fri night. If you love princesses, this is the place to be!! I think they had 4 or 5 roaming about and 1 in the lobby for you to take a picture with. One suggestion, you have to pay for that picture, so I suggest you also take one with your own camera. The food was good, the cold buffet was really just appetizer type foods. You order your main course off the menu. Can't recall the children's menu, but it was your standard fare.

We went for breakfast last week and met Belle, Mulan, Mary Poppins, Jasmine & Aurora. The potatoes that came with the breakfast were my favorite of all the foods we ate the entire trip. It was great and DD4 loved it. For breakfast when you first get in you go to a cold buffett (fruit, cheeses, crackers, etc...) then they bring the hot food to your table on a family style plate - eggs, potatoes with cheese in them, bacon & sausage.

We had dinner there in July and really enjoyed it. My three kids liked their pizza and pasta (true, not very Norwegian!), and DH liked his pasta with chicken. My salmon was horribly overcooked, but the potatoes with it were really good. Dessert was among the best we had during our entire trip, so good that we got seconds. The cold buffet was actually pretty good, too, with both basic things (bread, salad) and more adventurous choices.

Our princesses were wonderful. We saw Jasmine, Alice, Belle, Aurora, and Ariel (at dinner she's in the lobby only and poses for a photo with you when you arrive--the others circulate). Jasmine was very funny and teased my boys. DD4 got a nice kiss on the cheek from Aurora who was the absolute sweetest princess; that kiss (and the lipstick left there) made the entire meal worth it. I'd go there again, and we probably will on our next trip.

Have a good time. Your daughter is the perfect age for it.

We had lunch there in September. I had orginally booked this for dinner one evening, then changed my mind after reviewing the menu. While in Epcot during our trip doing some princess hunting, we decided to try and have an early dinner or late lunch there, rather then trudge back to the hotel and drag the kids out again later on (they are 4 & 2). We got a last minute ressie for lunch, and we are sure glad we did. We did get to see 5 princesses in one spot. We had Ariel (with legs) when we entered for a picture, and then we had Cinderella, Jasmine, Belle, and Aurora come around to the table. The kid food is basically the same kid food you can get everywhere else. My DW had some sort of Norwegian Meat Loaf dish, that was really quite good. I opted for the ribs that were really tasty. The cold board appetizer was also very good. The best part was the dessert. They were all yummy.
I would highly recommend this character dining experience.
