See, I knew you guys would make me feel better and please let Caitlin know that's exactly what I'm going to do....as soon as the kids leave, I'm on it, so be on the lookout later this afternoon or this evening!!!!

That's a very neat story about your grandmother. My maternal "Nanny" as we called her, was on both my trips as a child to Disney. She could be wild and crazy and I loved her to death.



Eeks..I had forgotten it's Valentine's Day until I saw your post, Caitlin..LOL. Good thing Piper only wants Nintendo points, or I'd have been in trouble. We actually delivered Gram's valentine yesterday, so low key day for us today.

I like the story about your Nanny. Sounds like she would have gotten along well with my grandma. I am looking forward to meeting Pipers grandma

In honor of Valentine's Day I thought I would write up our next day's itinerary

Friday March 5th

We will be having breakfast at Ohana @ 8:25
I am looking forward to seeing Mickey in his hawaiian shirt

Then we will be taking the monorail to MK and starting in Tomorrowland
I, of course, will be riding the new Space Mountain

Then to Libery Square where we will ride/enjoy:
The Hall of Presidents
The Haunted Mansion My personal favorite!
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
and Splash Mountain another favorite of mine!

We will then head over the Adventureland and ride:
The Jungle Cruise
Pirates of the Carribean
and watch the Tiki Room show nap time for me!

My mom and grandma will then be taking the bus back to POP

I will be heading over to the Wide World of Sports to pick up my 5k packet and I will be roaming around there since I have never been before!

We will then meet up and take a bus back to the Magic Kingdom

Tonight is the night of the D23 birthday party!!!!!!!!

My mom has already posted what the party consists of but we will also be adding a DISmeet to the agenda! We will be meeting MyMuse!!

I am so excited!

In addition to our Disney themed meal and movie we also had some Disney gifts today so I thought I'd share a couple pics.

Dale suprised me this morning with my first Jim Shore Disney figurine He didn't even know that Caitlin was hoping to start collecting these. As you can see it goes perfect with our pic from September

I love making photo gifts, so for Valentine's Day Caitlin got this journal for our trip. (she got a few other things but they weren't Disney )

Lastly, our personalized PP card came so here is a pic of that....now I should say Caitlin hates this pic but I think it's adorable

I think these personalized cards are great and it came in a matter of days!

I'm hoping the big breakfast will tide us over until dinner at 4:30. We will probably grab just a snack for lunch. Depending on the weather maybe ice cream from the ice cream shoppe or something sweet from the bakery? We want to be really hungry for the dinner and dessert party!

We are taking it easy as well we are actually having our first ever Disney themed meal!

We will be watching Mulan and having stir fry for lunch and the for dessert we will be watching Mary Poppins and having tea cakes (cupcakes)

I have seen so many families do this on their trip reports that I requested to have one

What a great idea, Caitlin! We're going to have to get at least a couple in before we leave, maybe the next two weekends! I was very ambitious about them to begin with, then hospital life happened.

What a great idea....love that....now I'm craving stir fry. I'll make it for dinner, Jasmine and Aladdin are going out for dinner and a movie, so I'll have stir fry and watch the Olympicspathetic isn't it?

Not pathetic at all, our tv doesn't leave NBC unless the Olympics aren't on..I love them, and told Piper ahead of time the Olympics were priority for the next 2 weeks..lol. I just love them..luckily Piper likes the winter sports too.

When I pre-purchased the photo cd it gave me personalized pp card as well but also gave me the option of just buying a pp card. However, like you when I go to the website I can't find where to just order the card I deleted the email so I no longer have the link.If I can figure it out I will let you know!

I ate there in May as part of a Fantasmic package and I liked it. THe service was great; the food was fine. The atomsphere was good, too. I'm sure I have a review in that TR, but I didn't see what the issues were.

I know! I got ME tags today (well, probably yesterday, but I forgot to look).

We are probably going to run into each other at some point before D23. I'm definitely going to AK's EMH night, since it has been on my "want" list for all this time.

I liked the Fantasmic dinner; I didn't see a problem with it at all. I did the one at Mama Melrose and H&V and I thought H&V was better actually. I saw Fantasmic enough, where I can skip it until a next trip. Or go to a late show. Whichever comes first.

I have no idea about the rooms. I've never been, so I don't knwo the overall condition. Some on the POP thread thought their rooms were very tired and others thought it was great. Though,I guess a flat screen is a nice touch and certainly creates more room, but I think I would rather a fridge.

Thanks we're really looking forward to our AK meet too! I should tell you that Caitlin has been looking into spending a week at GKTW as a volunteer. She has been so moved by various Wish TRs and is so excited about meeting Piper that it has truly inspired her. She was really bummed to learn she has to be 21 but is totally planning on doing it! Since she has to wait for that she just contacted the local Salvation Army and signed up to tutor under-priviledged kids twice a week. I keep thinking she should become a teacher but she says she feels passionate about law. I'm sure if she becomes a lawyer though she'd end up doing a lot of charitable work
