We have our 7:30am Princess Breakfast reservations but the park doesn't open until 8am? Where do I go to get in? What time will the gate/gates open!

For Goofy's Kitchen we're doing a 5:10pm dinner Tuesday night. What can I expect with the dinner? How early should we get there to get in line?

Thanks,
Kelie

Just get in line by around 7:15 to get into the park. When you tell them you have a ps they will let you in. By the way, that will be a good time to go, you can get breakfast done and still enjoy some low crowds before the park fills up in the later morning. This breakfast can get a little hectic with the buffet lines but that early you should be okay. As far as Goofy's I would get there 10 minutes early or even right on time. I have always been seated very quickly at Disneyland (especially at Goofy's) as opposed to WDW where I have sometimes waited for 30 minutes or more past my ps time. Goofy's is wonderful and my favorite character dining spot in any Disney park!

Thanks so much for all the helpful info! We're getting so excited :)

Please let us know how the Princess Breakfast goes. I have not heard the best things about it but my daughter is such a princess fan that I was really debating on making ps. I would love to hear how it went for you and if I should make PS or not. Have a wonderful trip!!

I totally will!! When we get home that next weekend I'll post all the pros and cons (in my opinion of course). I too have not heard the BEST things about it but one thing I did hear is that if you go to get there VERY early and the experience is better!! I HAVE to try as my 4 year old daughter is also a Princess fan and the way I looked at it was 1) we're getting fed for the morning, 2) it's only an hour off our day in the park, 3) Jocelyn got to see a princess or two :)
I'll report when we get back!

Thanks!! My daughter is also 4 and loves thoes princess. My son however is 6 and not so impressed. He is really looking forward to Star Wars. I would also be interested in Goofys kitchen. We are for sure going to do that but I just was wondering if there is a better time to go (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner?) I am taking them for their first time in October. I think I am more or just as excited as they are. I want to leave right now!! :Pinkbounc

Part of our group went to the princess breakfast a couple weeks ago and they were not impressed. They said the food wasn't all that great but of course they were really just there for the princess experience. However, there wasn't a single princess there! After an hour, my sister-in-law called out the manager and he was able to get a few princesses in over the next hour. My four-year old niece was thrilled once a few pincesses finally started showing up but then it was just a quick autograph signing and photo and they were off. Hopefully your experience will be better!

We had 8:30am ps on Fri. 5/20 for the Princess breakfast. We got to the main gates by 8am, lined up under an even numbered close to one of the tunnels and made a beeline for Plaza Inn as soon as the gates opened. When you walk down Main St., duck into the last store on the right (before the rope drop) and proceed out the side doors to Plaza Inn.

After having read the boards, I believe your experience with the Princess breakfast is better if you have an early ps. (Try to get 1st seating). We saw Mary Poppins, Bert, Fairy Godmother, Cinderella, Belle, Aladdin, Jasmine and Snow White. All of them came around to the table and spent several minutes chatting with my 4 yr old dd, signing her autograph book and taking pictures. All the characters were relaxed and no one seemed rushed.

As we left around 9:30am, you could see a long line of people waiting to get in. I think a couple of the characters started to disperse into the park by then too. I'm sure if you have a later ps, your experience may not be as positive as ours.

Ahhh!! You're getting me all excited as I forsee myself making a mad dash for the Plaza Inn.

So there is another way into the Plaza Inn? Do you know the name of the store? Do you think THAT door/enterance will be open at 7:30am? I too think that the early ps will definately help!! Can't wait!

Read our trip diary and see pics of our Princess Breakfast here - http://www.ballofdirt.com/entries/5333/35515.html

We had a great time, but as mentioned above, there have been a lot of complaints. The trick seems to be to go to the first session, and quickly stock up on food, so you don't get caught in line when the characters visit your table.

Also, make sure you have an inside table - the characters didn't appear to be as free with their vists as those outside.

And to see Beast be quick - he stands in the lobby for a while but can't visit tables as he's too big (and too scary for the little kids).

We had an 08:30 booking for a 9AM opening - gates opened at 08:30 and we then walked to the rope at the top of main street. A CM then directed us around the rope to the Plaza Inn.

We had a ps for last Wednesday at 10am. When we got there, there was a huge line. I went up to the person who was handing out the paper with the PS on it, and he gave me the PS and told me to go to the back of the line. By the time we would have gotten in, it would have been noon. We gave up and went to DCA and went on rides instead.

The next day we went to Goofy's Kitchen, and they were excellent. Characters at Goofy's Kitchen last thursday: Mulan ( we have never met Mulan before so that was exciting), Aladdin, Chip, Dale, Goofy, and Pinochio. They all spent time with my kids, and the food was great.

Think I'll get there a little early DESPITE our early entry!

We just did Goofy's Kitchen May 28th for lunch at 12:10 and waited 15 minutes to get seated. Which wasn't long I think. I was surprised to only find mostly breakfast items. Though they did have nuggets, macaroni, pizza for the kids. But for the adults there wasn't much, except southwest chicken and some delicious tamales.
**Characters took along time to come to our table, even though we were seated by the entrance door where they come in. When my daughter would approach them, they would just IGNORE her. This really upset me because to them it seems like a big REJECTION!! I told them to be patient, and when the waitress asked if the characters had come by I told her that we were already done eating(after being there an hour) and she said "they'll be by". Yeah, aha!! Well, we did not leave until most of the characters came by.

**Princess Breakfast: We woke up late and arrived at 8:30 for our 8:00 PS and we were told we could still go in. We did wait 15-20 minutes but the buffet was not crowded. You can get an omlette done, several items to choose from such as fruit, pancakes, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, biscuits, well you get the idea.
Characters available: Beauty and the Beast, do not go to your table, neither did Jasmine or Aladdin. The ones that did were: Cinderella, Godmother, Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter, and Snow White.Lots of interaction with the kids. They really liked this one.Food was better than at WALT DISNEY WORLD "Royal Princess Breakfast" of course without the castle.
If you have any questions, email me.

Thanks so much for your post! Let's me know what to prepare for! The food at the Princess Breakfast is JUST up our alley. We have 7:30am reservations and that's our first day in the park so I'm sure we won't sleep late that morning and the breakfast will get us off to a great start without a large crowd!
Many thanks!
