We are debating about going to the Princess Breakfast in August. I have heard mixed reviews & I am so unsure if I want to spend that kind of money for not so good service.
So I would like to know how was the interaction with characters, how was the food & how was the service? I want to hear all experiences with this meal.

If we opt not to do this meal how easy it is to see the Princesses in the parks, remember we are going in August. We really want to see Belle in her yellow dress, as we have only seen her in her blue dress at WDW. Is she easy to find in the parks?

Thanks! I suppose I will have more questions as the trip is coming up very quickly!

We went to the Princess Breakfast a couple weeks ago, but be warned, this has the potential to be a long breakfast if you're trying to see everyone. This is a very big place and the princesses have to rotate inside and outside, and sometimes their dresses are too big to get to the back rooms. We ended up seeing everyone, but we were there for two hours, and we did have to meet Belle in the lobby, because of her big yellow dress. We also saw Mary Poppins, Jasmine, Cinderella, Perla the mouse, Fairy Godmother, Aladdin, and Snow White. I was disappointed that Beast and the princes weren't present, but obviously, the characters aren't always the same.

Overall the food is good, but it seemed like every time I went up to get more, they were "refilling" their area, so I had to wait. We did not wait in the omelette line. You get your own drinks and your own bagels and donuts, and I wish you could just serve yourself your own eggs, waffles, bacon, etc. too. No one cleared our plates off the table until the last five minutes we were there.

We went to all five character meals, and I would say this was our least favorite, mostly because Alyssa isn't Princess crazy yet, and this just seemed the most disorganized overall.

Because we saw most of the princesses at this breakfast, we did not go out of our way looking for them in the parks. We did see Aurora and Belle in her yellow dress in the Animation building at DCA. There is a meet and greet room in there, so I'm sure the princesses rotate throughout the day. There is also a ten minute show outdoors that features a "hero" character, a princess, and Sorceror Mickey. After the show, the characters go inside the Animation building for a meet and greet. We caught the show twice, and saw Hercules, Woody, Snow White, and Cinderella.

Hope this helps,
Amy :)

I agree with KMH1 about the general experience of this breakfast. We found the food to be pretty mediocre and we usually love our buffet experiences at Disneyland. The characters were plentiful but it is so crowded in there it is hard to see them all and it takes forever. Plus if you get seated outside like we did, they don't come out there so you have to hunt them down. It was a lot of characters and we enjoyed it because my parents were with us and they are elderly so we needed a way to see lots of characters in one setting. But I doubt we would ever do it again. Here are some ideas and experiences we have had for meeting the princesses: Over at DCA in the Animations building. They have a little show/meet and greet with a princess over there, we also saw Woody and Fantasia Mickey the day we saw this. Cinderella was the princess that was in the show thing the day we were there and then later inside when they did the meet and greets Aurora was there as well. You can also go to the story hour in the Princess shop in Fantasyland. They do three stories a morning and I believe a different princess (Cinderella, Snow White, and maybe Belle?) does each one. You can check with that store to find out the times. At Goofy's we have always seen two princess each time. Last September for instance we saw Jasmine, Aladdin and Aurora. In December we saw Jasmine and Mulan. We have also seen Belle (in her blue dress though), Alice and Snow White during various Goofy's meals. We also frequently see Mulan over at DCA near the Golden Dreams theater. We have seen Belle in her yellow dress many times over near Small World and a couple of other times (in yellow as well) near the castle and at the entrance. Snow White can sometimes be seen at her grotto near the castle by her wishing well. Ariel has a grotto near the Matterhorn in Fantasyland. And then many times we have seen Aurora and Cinderella in front of the castle. Almost every morning when we get there at opening (also if the official park opening is later than 8:00 they will open Main Street half an hour early) we have seen numerous characters including princesses on Main Street. Early like that the lines are usually not long. We often see Mary Poppins and Wendy at that time. I find there are more character meeting spots at Disneyland, maybe I just haven't found all the ones at WDW yet! When you get your park map upon entering they will have a lot of info about meet and greets.

Here's a link to a few reviews, including my own experience in Jan. There are other places to meet the princesses, so I doubt we will be back

Princess Breakfast Reviews

You will almost always find Belle in her yellow dress at DL. Not sure why the difference between WDW and DL.

The review link above covers it pretty well - as you'll see, our experience was wonderful, but others have not been as positive.

We booked for the first sitting and had an inside table, which may have made the difference. I also thought the food and service patchy but didn't mind as our girls loved all the characters and had a great time.

We saw Belle and Beast in the lobby, were greeted by Mary Poppins and Bert at the door, and then at our table, and had Cinderella, Aladdin and Jasmine, Aurora, Mulan and the Fairy Godmother all come to our table.
