If you haven an AP, do you still need to purchase tickets for special events at WDW? Thanks.

yes you do. i have an annual pass but annual passes dont cover the special events just regular park days

You do have to purchase an additional ticket for any "Hard Ticket" events, but they usually have a couple of nights where they offer AP holder discounts.
