The numbers are limited, XX number of people in a set time period. In theory allowing more face time with the characters.

If you want pictures with the Frozen group, you need to pick up tickets for their Meet & Greet. I don't believe they have "regular" sets (like the other characters do).

The princesses at the Princess Gathering might have their own character sets (with a line, like at the parks). You can check the Navigator for who/where/when these sets will be.

Yes, you need to sign up to get tickets for the Princess gathering and the Frozen gathering. They are at different times. You can choose both or just one. I recommend reserving them during online check-in because they can be popular events. The tickets are free and for a specific time.

Also, if you reserve your tickets ahead of time, the tickets will be in your cabin when you board.

The Frozen meet is the only possibility to meet the Frozen princesses and maybe Olaf. It also features a backdrop.

The princesses meet offers more interaction time than a usual meet. Little girls seem to get dressed in their princess dresses for it much more than for regular meets. It also allows to meet multiple princesses in the same time as it takes to meet one at other times.

For most character meeting, you simply show up and join the end of the line. For Frozen and Princess gatherings, there will be a cast member at the end of the line checking tickets so that only ticketed guests may join the line. I've only been to one Frozen gathering, which was in a dining room (allowing for a decorated, snowy environment). The Princess gathering has usually been in the main lobby, so everyone can see the princesses but only those with tickets can go up to meet them.

For Frozen the gathering is the only opportunity to meet them. As far as the princesses, the best thing is meeting all 3/4 at once (standing in line ONCE as opposed to 3 or 4 times!).

When we were on the Fantasy during the summer, there were no 'tickets' anywhere. We were just on a list they checked off when we arrived at the location.

They no longer give out paper tickets, but you still have to sign up for the princess and Frozen meetings if you want to attend. The cm will have a list of names so they know whether or not someone has signed up for it. It's nice being able to meet several princesses all at once as opposed to doing them one at a time.

Yes! I am glad I made a note of when all of our on board events were so we did not forget them. We saw that sometimes it would show in the app, but sometimes they wouldn't.
