Princess 1/2 - Getting around

I'll be a WDW for the Princess Half. Not participating, but thought I would get out and cheer on the WISH team (and everyone else).

I'm not staying at a host resort, so what would be the best way to get around. I'm staying at BWV, but the IG won't be open in the morning so I could get through to the front of EPCOT.

Is it possible to walk to the front of EPCOT from BWV. DOes the monorail run early for this race. I really thought about catching the monorail to the TTC, seeing people there and then walking over to the viewing area on Floridian Way.

I have ADR's at Kona, so I could cheer and then go eat breakfast.
Would I be better off getting a cab? What's traffic like on race morning? Is it as bad as the January race?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I think from BWV you can only go through the side epcot entrance which since the park will be closed is no help....
