Prince William to marry next year!!

Well Im thrilled, not only do I love a good royal wedding, I also planned to have that week off so now I only have to book three days and not four:goodvibes

Plus the Monday after is May day bank holiday too. :thumbsup2 So two four day weekends in a row! :dance3:

For us it means we leave for Florida on the 6th of April, return to work and school on the 27th for two days and then return on the 3rd May - so two days work in four weeks :cool1::cool1::cool1:

The week they get married is a 3 day week as its Easter Monday at the beginning.

A day off!

I like a Royal wedding. I remember Charles and Di's really clearly. I was so disappointed with her creased dress.:rotfl: I had a Lady Di haircut and secretly wished she was my best friend. What a geek.

I really wouldn't have wanted his mother's ring - it's hardly the symbol of eternal love and commitment, is it? And Westminster Abbey? Too may sad associations, surely? Oh well, I doubt whether they will even consult me.:rotfl:

I'm looking forward to this too. I hope there is some spectacle to watch, it would be sad for a future king to have too low key a wedding.

It will be nice to have an extra day off work but it makes for a very bitty start to the summer term at the school where I work - start of term on Tues 26th April, day off on 29th, Mayday holiday on 2nd May and then we're a polling station so the school will be closed on 5th May.

Oh well, it'll be half term again before we know it! :thumbsup2

:confused3 Yes I know, as I said that means 2 x four day weekends in a row! :cool1: Firstly Easter then 3 working days then the wedding/may day.

I am being a real spoilt brat, huffy pants :rotfl:
I work in a school and we are already off then for Easter. Our summer term starts on Tue 3rd May. I know I already get alot of holidays but I can't help wanting more :rolleyes1

I'm really looking forward to this too ~ no other country does the pomp and pageantry as well as us. :thumbsup2

I'm disapointed it is in the Easter holidays too. DD will already be off school.

I just hope it doesn't get toned down too much.
I hope not too.

That's a shame. Our schools go back on the Tuesday before the wedding so it works well for us. In fact I'll have a great week as it's a teacher training day at my school on that day (doesn't seem like work with no children there :rotfl: ) so it'll feel like it's only Wednesday and Thursday for work that week! :yay:

I had already booked flights to Munich for a long weekend and the weekend falls on this weekend, so we don't need use annual leave :thumbsup2

This sort of thing never happens to me!

Sorry misread the original quote:thumbsup2
