We snagged a reservation for dinner here one night during out trip. It is my boyfriend's first trip to disney and im hoping for some interesting service if you know what i mean! On several of our trips we get the typical scolding and time outs.. but the last trip i went on, and my sisters last trip, we both felt Prime Time was lacking its signature antics. Do they still do this kind of stuff? I really want him to love the restaurant and find it a unique experience!

We went this past November and it definitely wasn't going on the night we went.. not even at the other tables around us. We went years ago and loved it, and this time it was our least favorite. We were really looking forward to the antics and scolding and all of that, but not one time did we experience it from our server. Maybe we just didn't get lucky that night.

We went last November and our waitress was "in to it". However I noticed the other waiter in the room was acting "normal".From other posts it seems like it the luck of the draw.

It's just my feeling but I get the feeling they try to feel out the customers as to how far they want things to go. A lot of times you can read people as to how much they want to be involved. Or as previous posts suggest, maybe some cast members just aren't in to it. We went 8 months ago and our waitress was great, but she didn't go overboard, which is how we wanted things to go.

This. I'm an introvert of sorts and a pretty shy guy. During our last trip, my dad, who LOVES attention, was the butt end of a lot of jokes and was stuck carrying dirty dishes into the kitchen. My sister, a teacher, had a few jokes thrown her way. I went pretty unscathed.

I've only gone once & the server was a younger girl who was nice but no antics from her. The other server in our room was getting really into it & we enjoyed watching him with the other families that were there so it was still a good time.

I'd go with the suggestion to request a server who is more into the antics at check in if that's what you're looking for.

We were there last year and the server was very blah. He pretty much took our order and dropped off the food. Other than that not a word from him. The food was great but the antic were lacking.

Agreed. When it was just DH and I (both of us totally into) our waitress was totally over the top in the best way. We took my mom (who is more reserved) a few months later. The waitress threw a few jokes her way but mainly made DH the butt of everything. I think some of them are definitely taking the temperature of the table in that respect.

We were there just this past Monday night, and our server was great. Very into the antics. She took people's cell phones away from them at the table, made people go stand in a corner, advertised folks who were in the "clean plate club", etc. We had a ball, and the food was great, as always.
