Which one is better? We have eaten at the 50's Prime Time on numerous occasions beofre and it was fun, food was pretty good (except I didn't care for the Pot Roast)...would like to try the Sci-Fi Diner this go around.

Any recommendations either way?
Thanks!!!

We have not eaten at 50s, but from what we have heard, it would be better than Sci-Fi food-wise. Sci-Fi is supposed to be a good burgers and shake place, so if that's what you want, it should be great! It's got a fun atmosphere too. I would suggest trying it, just for something new, especially if you don't particularly want to do 50s again anyway. But 50s is supposed to have great food.:confused3

I would suggest SciFi for lunch rather than dinner. Had a few misses at dinner, but the lunch menu is very good. Best burger/onion rings/milk shake/hot fudge sundae we had on site bar none !

We have done both 50's PTD and Sci-Fi. Sci-Fi is not a dinner place IMHO. You sit in "cars" two to a seat and watch a big giant movie screen. It is supposed to give you the feel of the old drive in theatre. It is in fact burgers and fries - very good - but mostly lunch time fare.

I would strongly suggest 50's for dinner and Sci-Fi for lunch.

I would try the Sci Fi for lunch as well. We asked one of the cast members who was dressed like a movie star for directions and she told us where it was and said "Tell them I sent ya" (don't remember her name, I think Rising Star). When we got there we told them at check in and we were seated right away in a front car. Kind of Cool!:thumbsup2

I've never tried Sci Fi, only 50s. It's hard to get 50s off our dining list - we go every year. The menu at Sci Fi has never appealed to me.

We have done both several times. If we are doing dinner, we go to 50's as the meals are just too huge there--if we eat it at lunch we feel like we need a nap. We do Sci-Fi for lunch. Love the cheesy little cars and because of our age, we love the black/white cheezy b-grade sci fi clips because we remember them from "back in the day". I do not think their burgers are the best I've ever had but they are adequate. The milkshakes are very good. If you want to have conversation with your meal, Sci Fi will pretty much limit you to the one person sitting next to you in the car, very hard to talk to the people in front or in back of you.

I think my girls would really enjoy the idea of sitting at a "drive in" and eating. When they are with their real dad in Ohio...they go to a drive in all the time. And we don't have one in Arkansas...so I am hoping that the SCI Fi will appeal to them.

it will be my first time so I will have to sample as much food as possible...:rotfl:

Try Sci-Fi for lunch, the sandwiches and burger are great when you want something light.

Though I do prefer the 50's PTC. But with me that's just a matter of taste.

We've done both, and prefer Sci-Fi. The food was good, but nothing remarkable, at both places (burgers/fries/shakes at Sci-Fi; old-fashioned home cooking at 50's), but I much prefer the atmosphere at Sci-Fi. It was easily the quietest, most relaxing restaurant we had all trip. And so unique--the kids just love the cars, the movies, sitting apart from mom and dad. . . come to think of it, I love those things, too!
