Prime Rib lovers help me out!!!

My fiance is an extremely picky eater. Definitely a meat and potatoes guy. On our honeymoon this october he is willing to eat where ever I would like but I want to make sure he gets an amazing prime rib somewhere since that's his favorite. I've been to the world a bazillion times but i hate prime rib so I have no clue where to go. Any suggestions on who has the best in your opinion?

I love the prime rib at kona !!! it was the best that i ever had....

Thanks so much for all fo the suggestions! We are not using the dining plan so we don't have to limit our choices. Thanks for the pic bentleygirl22 I'll let DF drool over it! :thumbsup2

there was a thread awhile back that said prime rib had been replaced with roast sirloin at all the buffets. Supposed to be a less fatty cut (and therefore more healthy) as well as a cut that is easier to control the cooking on. I think someone even posted a copy of a press release from Disney about the new "healthier" offering. On the official Disney website, I was looking at the Cinderella's Royal Table dinner menu & looks like prime rib is no longer offered there...which is a bummer, because we enjoyed it last May.

Had prime rib at Kona Cafe last September...was quite good.

If you like steaks, we had good ones at Kona, The Wave, The Grand Floridian Cafe, and Le Cellier.

It's not about providing a "healthier" choice. It's simply cheaper to serve the alternative more than anything, particularly in a buffet setting. If it was about providing "healthy" food, how much fatty stuff would they have on the menu?

I had the prime rib at CRT, Yachtman's and Boatrights last September and they were all good. My DH tried other things and he was always surprised at how much better the prime rib was than what he ordered.

We had prime rib at Whispering Canyon Cafe last July. I also recall it being on the menu at Shutters in the CBR.

I would pick:
#1 Shula's (a huge slab of beef)
#2 Yachtsman
#3 Boma (an excellent spice rub coating)

Another vote for Kona. I had their prime rib and deem it quite good. :thumbsup2

If you want something even better for yourself, try the pomegrate BBQ pork chop if it's still on the menu. Yum.

And the best reason to go to Kona: Their bread with macadamia nut butter. I call it "Kona Crack". You will polish it off if you like bread. :cloud9:

I called the Captains Grill a couple of days ago, and they told me prime rib was not currently on the menu.

I don't know if they are still taking reservations for dinner, but we had prime rib in Cinderella's Castle two years ago. When we are in Orlando, we always hit Outback Steakhouse. It's on Hwy 192, I believe it's marker 4, purple color. It's always super busy, so be prepared to wait for your table. We usually get ours to go...in and out, no wait. But, we have the motor coach...may be more difficult to keep it hot/reheat in a hotel room. popcorn::

Meat and taters person here....favorites are Boma, 1900 Park Fair and Cape May Cafe. We try to judge quality AND quantity!

If you like shoe leather, definitely get the prime rib at one of the buffets. It is terrible – really beat up and not even as good as Arby’s.

If you want higher quality, go to a full-service restaurant. Shula’s will not disappoint.

You guys have talked me into going to Kona's... wasn't even planning on heading over to the Poly at all this trip - but those pics of prime rib look bloody and delicious! :thumbsup2

I am sad that they took prime rib off the menu at the Yachtsman. It was excellent.:confused3
