My fiance is an extremely picky eater. Definitely a meat and potatoes guy. On our honeymoon this october he is willing to eat where ever I would like but I want to make sure he gets an amazing prime rib somewhere since that's his favorite. I've been to the world a bazillion times but i hate prime rib so I have no clue where to go. Any suggestions on who has the best in your opinion?

I had the best meal at Le Cellier in Canada! YUM!! I'm definitely going back there on my Sept trip so my husband can try it too!! :thumbsup2

I'd look at:

#1 - Shula's at the Swan/Dolphin

#2 - Yachtsman Steakhouse - Yacht/Beach Club

To be honest...my husband likes the prime rib at buffets like Cape may and Chef Mickeys over what he had in Dec at Le Celliar. He's a meat/potatoes guy too! :goodvibes

I'm another vote for Shula's. I have heard it is the ULTIMATE Beef place.

next choice would be Yachtsman at Yacht Club.

I have actually found Le Cellier to be too inconsistant recently on quality. I have gotten really tough beef here at times.

Another interesting Place is Artist Point. They have a good filet. They used to have a Buffalo Steak, but I do not see that on their on-line menu anymore.

Cinderella's Royal Table has a prime rib entree on their fixed menu which I enjoy. He gets prime rib and you get to eat in the castle! :cool1:

Another really tasty prime rib is at Kona's over at the Polynesian. :goodvibes
My DH gets it every time and he's always been very pleased with it. (I gave it a taste too and it was very good!!)

My FIL really liked the prime rib at Le Cellier and 1900 Park Fare. I don't like prime rib and thought the food at 1900 Park Fare was terrible though. Just a warning :)

Great tips for the prime rib; I think I am getting it too next time I'm there!:thumbsup2

I would say Yachtsman too, however the latest menu I saw did not have that on it anymore. Can anyone confirm that they do still have it? I was planning on eating here this summer, but am considering changing that choice because of this.

The prime rib at Le Cellier is to die for!! We made the mistake of order prime rib at Cinderella's Royal Table the night after Le Cellier, and it was nothing compared to the night before!

When we ate at Chef Mickey's last September, the prime rib was basically inedible. But, the ribs and shrimp were good.

there was a thread awhile back that said prime rib had been replaced with roast sirloin at all the buffets. Supposed to be a less fatty cut (and therefore more healthy) as well as a cut that is easier to control the cooking on. I think someone even posted a copy of a press release from Disney about the new "healthier" offering. On the official Disney website, I was looking at the Cinderella's Royal Table dinner menu & looks like prime rib is no longer offered there...which is a bummer, because we enjoyed it last May.

Had prime rib at Kona Cafe last September...was quite good.

If you like steaks, we had good ones at Kona, The Wave, The Grand Floridian Cafe, and Le Cellier.

#1 - Shula's ....no doubt about it (if anyone tries to tell you different, it's probably because they haven't eaten there :goodvibes)

Shula's for real beef lovers. Absolutely awesome.

#2 - The Yachtsman....fantastic

I love prime rib, but I'm often so disappointed in the quality that I have a hard time passing up on a steak. Plus, if I want prime rib, it better come with some raw horseradish and come out red. Otherwise, forget it.

to OP, if you're doing the Disney Dining Plan, just be aware that Shula's is not on the dining plan and is quite pricey. Also, some of the suggestions that are on the plan do take 2 Table service per person...that would include Yachtsman's and Artist Point. Just an FYI:goodvibes
