pricing on packages

Not a complete Disney newbie, but I have only ever stayed with relatives in Orlando, so I haven't had to book a package. Can anyone tell me if you have to pay for the whole package upfront, or can you pay over time/ If you can pay over several months, how much in general do you have to pay upfront? Thanks everyone!

You have to put down $200 on a package and the rest is due 45 days before your trip. You can make payments on the balance until the 45 day mark, when they want the rest.
