Hi! I am interested in the May 23, 2016 cruise to Alaska. In the last week the price has gone up $70. Does that price ever go back down? If they just made a price increase are they likely to do it again soon? Thanks!

Ås long as there is demand you can be sure the price will go up! While other cruise lines may reduce the price as the date nears, Disney usually will not.
Don't expect to see it go back down so hop on board now if you really want to go.

No, you will not see the price drop. Especially for Alaskan cruises. No way to tell how fast/how often the prices go up. You might not see another price increase for a month or two or you might see 3 more prices increases in the next 6 weeks. If it's the cruise you want to take, then book it NOW. FYI, the May cruises to Alaska are the least expensive ones. Followed by August. June and July are the most expensive months. We're going on the last Alaskan cruise of the season for Disney, August 15-22 2016.

DCL prices their cruises in "tiers" -- meaning that for the first x% of staterooms sold, price is $X; then fares increase for the next % of staterooms booked, repeat. Fares are very unlikely to decrease. It is possible for last-minute special offers, after the PIF date has passed and cruisers are into the penalty phase for cancellations, but no guarantee discounts will be offered or would be less than the fare you can book today. If you can manage the deposit for the fare you see today, and the end figure is do-able for your vacation budget, the best advice is to book now. Prices could increase tomorrow, next week, or 3 months from now -- nobody knows.
