hi checked virgin internet site this morning and prices now out for 2004 after april, so pleased it meant we where staight over to the travel agents and have booked for xmas and new year 2004, so if anyone else waiting for the brochure to come out, the travelagents have the prices and can book but no new brochures as yet so excited never been at christmas before but will have nearly as much fun planning inbetween hope this helps any one else waiting susie :jester:

Thanks for letting me know - it's the first day in ages I haven't checked.

I've just been costing out fly drive prices for next August - not that we're planning to go next year ..... anyway if I enter my kids who will be 13 and 10 as 2 children it quotes a higher price than if I treat the 13 year old as a 3rd adult!?!

Libby, if you see any discounts or bargains on flydrives for August 2004 please let me know. I'll need flydrives and a villa booking for that time.

Regards

Rob

I always used to book Virgin via a travel agent - but a few weeks ago I did it over their website. The site was very good and the service also i.e got the details through in a couple of days and then the FV discount amendment/upgrade etc.

The best bit is I got a 10% discount - which normaly the travel agent would get as commission :p

I would recommned it to anyone.

:smooth:

For any one looking to book for 2004 now is the time to think about booking all parts individually.Fly-drives are not always the best way to got because of the extras the car can cost.If you think you would like to stay in a villa then start looking now as after Easter is the time when we home owners start to get enquiries for the most popular times ie. Easter ,school holidays and christmas.

JANNYANS is quite right.

We have booked a Virgin Flydrive for June this year, when we're off to our villa, but we won't be collecting their car. I can hire a car myself for much less than all Virgin's extra daily and upgrade charges.

..... and I will get the very same car, from the same Dollar counter, as the poor Virgin's who have paid (or are about to pay)through the nose.

Do Virgin penalise you if you book a flydrive but not use the car?

Just had a gander on virgins website they do have the 2004 brochure out for florida if anyone wants to get a copy :),Just ordered ours,as i priced up for next year (quite fancy booking hol number 3) lol.

I don't see how they can. Either I've paid for it already, before I arrive or its "free".

Hi,

We have advanced registered with Mainstreet travel for a fly/ drive August 2004 but cannot get a booking until September 03
(11 months before depature).

I see Dimplenose got a tentative quote for next August, could someone point me to the correct web site as the Virgin site is still refusing to give me any info for after April 04.

Could the fact that we will be flying from Manchester restrict the dates??

I booked 8 days from the 27 December 2004. Just have to get 3 days of the accomodation put on in October, but the flights are all booked.

If you go to the hotel you want and then go to the bottom of that page it allows you to go past april 2004

I had the same problem when I booked earlier this year. I have twins who wil be 13 when we travel and it was considerabley cheaper to treat them as adults than the 'special teen price' because you get 10 % discount on an adult fare, but not on a teen/child price. I even sent an email to Virgin to point this out, but got no reply, I then tried to point this out on the phone, but they would not have it that an adult price could be cheaper than a teen fare (Well you do the maths then!) I gave up trying to tell them and just booked us as 4 adults. The last time we travelled we travelled on four adult tickets, because they had just turned 12 and it was before Virgin had introduced the 'new teen fare' So I don't see a problem with them having an adult ticket.
