Prices of character buffets

The prices on Allears.net for the character buffets, are they accurate? Trying to budget for them but want to make sure I hae the right prices.
& if they don't include tax, what is the restaurant tax rate at DW?

You'll need to look at the date at the top of each restaurant's menu. If it says Aug 2011, they are giving you peak summer prices. Regular, non-peak is $3-4 less. The ones dated before Aug show the regular prices.

As for tax, again read what it says after the price. Most of them do include the tax, but if it doesn't say, the tax rate is 6.5%.

If you want to make sure you have the correct price, you can call Disney Dining and they will tell you the price for your date.

If the listed price ends in anything other than ".99", it almost certainly includes tax. If you divide the number by 1.065, you should get something that *does* end in 99.

Unfortunately, they aren't consistent about whether or not the prices include the peak season surcharge. Somewhere in the board here, Tiger has done a detailed research into the buffet prices. Hopefully it hasn't slipped down too many pages on the board.

We did 3 character buffets before we left, and I priced them according to allears. We had a few dollars left over at each. I did call Disney Dining to check on the Akershus pricing, since it was just a range on allears. The price they gave me was exactly what we paid.

Depending on when you're going, you may also want to take into account inflation. If you're going in a couple of weeks, those prices should be pretty accurate. If you're trip is a year away, I'd figure on maybe a 10% increase, and hope for less.
