I so would love to through my daughter's wedding there. But, I know it's expensive, and does anyone know the package prices and what they all entail. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Do a search for Disney Weddings, you can get the prices. There are other options also like Swan and Dolphin or if you or someone in the family is a DOD employee there is Shades of Green. Then there is also Cruise option.

Many choices ;)

You can find pricing for the four different Disney options in Florida here: http://disneyweddings.disney.go.com/weddings/florida/pricing/detail

The smaller your group, the cheaper it is. Memories events start at $2,495 but you can only have 6 people total. Escape events are a package with everything you'd need but the meal, and they start at $4,750 (in 2012) for up to 20 people total. Wishes is an a la carte option that requires you to spend $10,000–$12,000. However, if you are considering a catered wedding in a traditional location at home, like a hotel, you may find the price to be comparable or even more expensive than a Disney wedding.

Our daughter got married at WDW in 2008 - the way we approached cost was as follows:
We set a total budget - it was the same amount of money to be spent whether the wedding was at "home" OR at WDW - so in the end DD got the wedding of her dreams and we didn't have to take out a second mortgage:rotfl2:

Agree with PP - look at the packages on line and get a rough idea of the cost - if you think you can compromise with things like expense of wedding gown, number of guests, food/beverage options, flowers (do some DIY stuff) - you will probably discover it's the same (or close to) $$$$ for WDW as it would be anywhere else -

For us every penny was worth it because:
A - DD got exactly what she wanted :thumbsup2
B - Every detail was expertly handled by the planning team at Disney:cheer2:
C - The event was something unique that she and we still talk about as one of the best days of our life (next to her being born and graduating from college)pixiedust:

In fact, we felt it was such a great place to have a ceremony - we used the Memories package ourselves last year for a vow renewal!

Good luck and cherish this time planning with your daughter - wherever the wedding is held:grouphug:

There are loads of different price points! You may want to look into the Memories collection or the Escape packages if you want to book through Disney.

I am going the Swan and Dolphin route-- I'm having 60 people with "the works" for $10k. Come check out our Swan and Dolphin thread for more details on that!

Honestly, it is do-able.
