Take a look at the Disneystore.com. The prices will be the same as in the parks. There is a bigger selection in the parks but that will give you an idea of prices.

You can send things to the resort but it wont be waiting in the room for you. The box would just be at the check-in desk in a backroom somewhere. If it is a surprise for your kids you can buy things and maybe have one of the adults run ahead to the room and put stuff out before the rest of the family?
You can also order things from Disney Floral, gift baskets and such to be in the room. But those are WAY overpriced in my opinion.

I second the disneystore online. They have clearance shirts that start sometimes at $4.99. Shirts at WDW start at $11 and can go up to $50 or $60 at some of the Couture shops at DTD. Or you could buy some of the home printer t shirt paper and print out your own design. White t shirts plain can be found at some dollar stores and sometimes Walgreens has them for 3/$9.99. I bought both the transfers and dye on ebay.

We made tie-died shirts for our trip last October. You can google that and it will take you to a page on the Dis.

Also many Targets have Disney products in their dollar section. A recent poster said they even had Disney rain ponchos recently. In the parks those are really expensive. Mail your boxes if you do a few weeks in advance. We mailed out two boxes, one to DCL and one to our resort. The one we sent to the resort never made it and we didn't have our Halloween costumes for the MNSSHP. Just make sure to insure your packages whatever you do.
