I was thinking about using Priceline to get our hotel for the 1st week of March. Has anyone had any bad experiences with them? Any good experiences?

I've used them twice for the Orlando area- and then for NYC as well. If you do your research you'll know mostly what you'll be getting and you won't be taking as much of a risk. I strongly suggest checking the website www.biddingfortravel.com it is really great for Priceline. Also, www.betterbidding.com which deals w/ Priceline but is better for Hotwire (same concept).

We have used priceline a few times and they are very fair. Just remember, your purchase with them is BINDING and they will not refund if something comes up. We once got a hotel that only had rooms with a king bed - NO 2 doubles. I thought every 4 * hotel would have an option of 2 doubles but this one did not. It worked out okay but when I originally called priceline to express my concern, their feelings were "you bought it, too bad." It was also VERY difficult to get to someone in Customer Service. Just be aware of this.

We use priceline a lot for our travels. I'd recommend using the biddingfortravel site in conjunction with www.tripadvisor.com. Tripadvisor has scores of reviews for literally hundreds of hotels. Get your list of available hotels from BFT and then read the reviews on TA. Make sure you coulld be happy with ANY of the hotels listed on BFT before you bid. Good Luck!
