Has anyone ever used them to book near Disney? My sister, my friend and I are heading down for 5 nights in April, looking to keep things as cheap as possible. We want someplace that has a decent pool and hopefully a hot tub to hit after the parks.
Thanks!!

there are a few websites to use for help.

I think those are the ones. I have never had enough nerve to book through Priceline, but those who have, rave about it. I read that people get Gaylord Palms, a 4* for $85/night. If you are careful about the amenities you choose, and don't care exactly where you stay, it could be for you. I was going to try for an airport hotel, but in March if the weather is bad and the flight delayed, we would lose our money.

If you want to keep things as cheap as possible, then I suggest you do not use priceline. Not that you can't get a cheap room through priceline. But if you are going for something way down there in price, you probably aren't going to save that much. (Maybe get a room for 30 instead of the 45 you would pay otherwise.) Also if your aim is a one or two star place, it is probably worth paying a little more and making sure the place you get is half-way decent. (Priceline doesn't give you the hotel name until you have paid for it in advance.)

Where priceline is really great is when you try for a 3 or 4 star hotel and get one of those places for a great price. Then you have the possiblity of getting a 200+ dollar room for the 70 dollar range. Nothing beats priceline for these deals. I strongly suggest you go to biddingfortravel.com and take a look around.

We used priceline in Disney for our 3/04 trip. We did save a lot of money. We did a lot of research first though so we knew when to stop bidding. We had a split stay. The first half of the trip we got the Sheraton Safari for $36 a night. This was a big savings as at the time 2 there were other diser's going the same timeframe's that paid the discounted rate of $99ish. I, for one, loved this hotel, especially for the price!!
The other wasn't a huge savings or a nice hotel, we got the Nikki Bird Holiday Inn for $26 a night. This place was a dump. On a brighter note I answered a survey when I got back home that Holiday Inn had sent me in regards to the hotel stay. I answered honestly and put in the comments at the end how disappointed w/ the hotel we were. I had never stayed at a bad Holiday Inn to that point. They proceeded to refund the 2 rooms I had won through priceline in full. I didn't ask or expect it, I was just completing their survey.
I would use priceline again for certain things. I just recommended it to a friend who is going to Baltimore for a long weekend w/ her DH.
