Hi everyone!

I am planning a REALLY last minute trip to Orlando for some interviews. My fiance and I have decided it just may be time to move. So in order to get a better feel for the residential areas and go on some interviews, we are going down on Sat. July 17th for a couple nights. Since we are not going to be on vacation, I decided to give Priceline a try and I got the Wyndam on International Drive for $41/night! Woo whoo! Looks like rack rates are $100 or more, so I'm very pleased.

Has anyone stayed here before? Just wondering what to expect.

Thanks a bunch!

I won this place last Nov. for 1 night between stays at US/IOA and WDW and asked the same question. Most responses I got were fairly negative - worn rooms, musty smelling, dirty carpets, etc. so I went in not expecting too much. Checkin went smoothly and I was placed on the first floor of building 6 (or 8, can't remember). Although the room was a little old and worn, I didn't find it dirty or any offending odors. Also I liked the convenience to I-Drive and various restaurants!!! I'd stay there again for $41, but not at rack rate.

Hope this helps!!! :teeth:

I have also stayed at this hotel through Priceline. I didn't think it was bad..we were in building 8 or 9, top floor. Very quiet and convenient to everything....our room was clean and not worn like others have said.

That being said, it was not the Ritz, but I didn't expect it to be.

Stayed there in August of 2001 and thought it was a very nice place - the grounds are great and there are plenty of places to walk to for eats, shopping. Traffic can be a hassle on I-Drive, but you can also enter/exit on Sand Lake Rd. which was slightly easier.

Definitely worth the price you paid!

Stayed here in March 02 on a Priceline bid with my DS and DD. We enjoyed the pools and were in bldg 13 around the side and away from any noise. I thought it was great. Signed up for Wyndham by Request and even got a welcome bottle of wine!

I think it will be fine for your purposes. Good luck on considering the move.
