Priceline Surprise

Not really a Disney question, but I was urprised to "score" a Priceline Intermediate car rental in Atlanta for an upcoming Easter trip for $12 per day. Now I am wondering how the details are taken care of. From what I can tell, my credit card was not charged, so I am assuming that I will be charged at the time of pick-up, right? I am also guessing that I could use a different card than the one I used to make the bid, right?

I have used Priceline for hotels before but never cars, and was surprised to save $80 off of a resrvation that I currently had, and more than $200 off of the asking price of the new rental agency.

Your card may be charged any time before your arrival for pickup of the car. So don't count on being able to use a different credit card.

I've rented from Priceline twice and was charged a couple days after making the ressie. Everything went fine. Just bring the copy of your Priceline acceptance to make sure they have you as being prepaid. I don't think they even asked for it at the rental agency, but I'd bring it to be safe.

Priceline uses Hertz, Avis, Budget, Thrifty, and National.

I got Hertz the first time and Alamo the second. I love Alamo, but sometimes their prices are too high.

And Alamo which is why I had to swear of Priceline... I won't risk giving Alamo any of my cash.
