priceline question

I have another question , I know priceline talks about just having room available for 2 people, If you have a family of four, How hard is to get an extra bed? <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused">

I am not sure about this but I think if it is four adults you would need to bid on two rooms. Or if you get a King bed you might be able to call the hotel directly to change to double beds or get a roll away.

Priceline only guarantees a room for 2 adults. But I have heard some people say on this site, that pretty much all Orlando hotels cater to families and 4 to a room is quite standard. You shouldn't have any trouble getting 2 double beds (but as I said, no guarantee). You may have to pay for extra people though, through the hotel, I'm not sure. You could call some of the hotels that priceline uses and ask if there would be an additional charge for this. Or maybe someone here can answer this. Great deals are definitely out there at priceline - I got Wyndham Orlando for 14 days in July for $30/night (plus AMX bonus $20/night which is now expired)

I did Priceline for a place in Minnesota. We have a family of 4. The room we got was 1 queen bed and that's all! There was no asking for anything else, because that's all they had! Luckily, I was afraid in the first place, to gamble that the room would hold 4 people, because I had read all the info. on the Priceline site. It said the room is only guaranteed for 2 people. So I had bid for 2 rooms. Now we get a Queen room and the 2 girls get a queen room. We'll have 2 bathrooms, and we asked that the rooms be connecting! The girls are thrilled, and my husband and I get some privacy! I think Priceline is a great bargain if just 2 of you are traveling. But when it's the whole family, I just bid for more rooms and we all spread out for about the same price I'd pay normally for 1 room. It's still a great deal. Pomcoach

I agree about getting 2 room for basically the price of one. But I do think its worth the risk in Orlando. Not likely to get a room that will only accomodate 2 people.

I have read that several posters called the hotel after the bid was accepted and arranged for the type of room they wanted. It is worth a try

Jen--Your reservation only guarantees you 2 in the room. Yes, most people have been accomodated in Orlando (it can be harder to get a King room than a double room) BUT the hotel doesn't have to do anything but agree to rent you a second room AT FULL RACK RATE if there are rooms available. If the resort is short on rooms you may be out of luck.
