Please tell me Im not totally doomed, I was hoping for La Quinta Lakeside but didnt get it..Thanks

I just went to their website and looked at the pictures, the room is pretty standard, but the pool looked nice. It was small, but it was lakeside, which I thought was nice. The breakfast area looked fine as well.

We actually stayed at a Comfort Suites once, the room was clean, but older, but again, like you, got a great rate.

I think you will be fine, don't sweat it. There are far more expensive hotels with worse problems. It always make me laugh when I read how some people have to bring Lysol with them to the Polynesian at Disney because of the smell.

Don't worry about it and have fun, and think of all the money you saved!

If it's the one I'm thinking of, I would try and ask for a room not on the back side of the hotel. Black Lake Rd runs behind it, and we drove it every day a few weeks ago. Taht side of that hotel looked darkish, not enough lights for me. Also the shrubbery was a little more overgrown than I personally like. I'm not saying it's unsafe; it's just not wher ei personally would feel comfortable. The rest of the place looked fine from the outside. I believe it's right near the La Quinta, too.

I don't think you are doomed but it is not that great. It does have a good location with the back entrance to Animal Kingdom/Oceola Parkway but the upkeep of the whole place was poor. Stairways not cleaned, walkways, trash, etc. The rooms were barely acceptable, sink area in poor condition, carpets, blankets very rough, just not maintained. I would not stay there again if I got it thru Priceline. Maybe just for the 1 night we stayed but not more. If this is a 2 Star than the LaQuinta Inn Lakeside is about a 3.5. Its like night and day from these 2 places, the Laquinta is great. These properties actually face eachother and are only seperated by a small pond. I will be more than happy to answer any questions.
