Priceline Express Deals

HW has always allowed a 4 person search, PL never has

I'm doing a search for 2 rooms for 4 adults and haven't seen any indication it won't let me do that, is it just 2 per room that's the issue or if I actually go to book will it give me an error?

I wondered if someone could help me identify a hotel on Priceline. I'm looking at Sept. 10 - Sept. 22nd. I'm seeing an express deal for $177 for a 4* hotel in Bonnet Creek. Amenities include free shuttle, fitness center, spa, pool & restaurant. I'm thinking that with the free shuttle, it must be a deluxe Disney hotel, correct? TIA!

I’m guessing Swan...over $400 in hotel fees

Thank you! So the airport shuttle is likely just a mistake? I haven't booked the swan/dolphin for a while, but I thought the daily resort fee shows up when you click on it. I can't see any specific mention of the daily resort fee. Makes me nervous!

That’s a shuttle to the parks. It doesn’t say “Airport Shuttle”. If it has a resort or “mandatory” fee, it’s not Disney.

Thank you! I totally read it as 'airport shuttle'! Glad I checked with you experts!

The only 4* resort in Bonnet Creek with 700 reviews in Dolphin.
The thing that still gives me pause is the 'airport shuttle'. I just re-read it, and it does in fact say 'airport shuttle'. Could this hotel be anything other than the Dolphin? I really want to stay on property. Nervous to book....

Sorry let me clarify:
Priceline will not let you search Express deals with more than 2 guests. To prove this go to the priceline page, enter dates and city then search. Then go and update the room to add 2 children, and you will see the Express deals and the Pricebreakers tabs disappear.
On Hotwire, you can add 2 children to your initial search and search hotrates using 2+2.

No, I believe that is the only resort it can be - I keep track of all the resorts in a spreadsheet and below is a capture of all the 4* 8-guest rated resorts in Bonnet Creek. Sometimes Priceline will randomize mandatory resort fees, but in this case it is $30 per night as expected lately. (Another typical one for Dolphin is $33.75 per night.)

It is the only 4*8 resort with reviews in the 700s.

Also. Dolphin has always had Airport Shuttle in amenities on PL. :)

How much is the hotel fee?

The resort fee on CJK's deal is $30 - see my post above for all of the 4* resorts to narrow it down.

First, I'd like to reiterate so people reading the thread later don't get confused with this: Swan is NOT at 4* resort, it is a 4.5* resort.

There are only three 4* resorts in BC that have mandatory resort fees - Dolphin, Wyndham Grand Orlando, Hilton-Orlando BC.
The only one that normally has a $30 per night resort fee is Dolphin, plus it is the only one with reviews in the 700s.

One last warning too: Priceline has been known to completely leave off resort fees on some deals even when the resort requires you to pay them. So, good to compare all the factors and don't just rely on the mandatory fees. Another important note: PL's Terms of Service says the buyer is responsible for those fees even if they are not shown on the deal, which is very shady IMHO. For awhile they were leaving off a lot of fees, lately not so much.

@JJTNY I wanted to send a HUGE thank you for your help. We decided to book it, since we really wanted to stay in the Epcot Resort area for that trip. We did in fact get the Dolphin - just as you said. THANKS SO MUCH for putting my mind at ease. Your research is amazing!
Woohoo! My pleasure.

Just booked Movies thru hotwire for the night of the 5/15. It was $153 a night minus a $15 coupon. Not an amazing deal, but literally all of the values are booked thru Disney directly. We had an AP rate booked but this was cheaper than that.

Thanks for the tip! I'm looking for 5/14-17 and I have ASMo booked directly through Disney (a "last minute" trip we decided on last week for May) and it was a random availability as the day before there was none (I got $182 per night and the next day it bumped up to $186).

I'm looking/hoping for something better :)

Edited to add: Congrats on finding a lower rate :)

Thanks. We will be moving over to SSR the next day. Already called and added Magical Express.

Those of you who have booked Swolphin thru PLE, did you use one of the 2 numbers on the confirmation email to link to MDE? And did you notice it took about 2 days to work to link it?
