hi all,i was looking on a thread about hotels this morning and it mentioned priceline.com for cheap hotel reservations.please could anyone tell me about wether they had a good deal with them....and how you got on.....thanx
I use Priceline regularly and love it! There are several different ways to use it or get signed up for it. HaleyB is right, go to biddingfortravel.com to get good information, and they explain your "risks". It will help you with your bidding strategy.
I have always paid less than 50% of the hotels posted price when I use Priceline. Downside can be you don't get to choose your hotel and some hotels are rated higher than they really are. Good luck if you decide to use Priceline!
We have used Priceline for our last 4 trips. We paid $25 a night for Radisson Barcelo and $20 a night for the Ramada Eastgate. We paid $30 a night for the Wellesley Inn & Suites and $35 a night for the Radisson Resort Parkway.
We have been happy with all of the hotels. For that price who can complain. I am a travel agent and Priceline is always cheaper than travel agent discounted rates.
You cannot pick your hotel - so don't get your hopes up for a specific one.
Betterbidding.com is another good site to check out in addition to biddingfortravel.com.
thanks very much for your advice,i visited the betterbidding website and was amazed how cheap people got there hotels....just for the record i used a U K based holiday firm for my last trip to Orlando and paid $1300 for 14 nights at ho-jo plaza on kirkman road, never again.when i got there there advertised rates were $37 p.n. well they say you live to learn and im learning fast.
