Priceline car bidding

Not sure if this has been brought up on here but here is my question.
If you win a bid on a car rental I know they charge your cc for the price but what happens when you pick up the car at the location? Will they swipe and charge your cc again for the same amout? I mean the rental was paid for when you win the bid so if they swipe and charge again (even if its just a "hold charge") to me thats double billing. So can someone give a response to this? Thank you.

Depends on the company. Some may put a hold on the card and others may just have your card number for 'incidentals" like damage, not filling the car up with gas, etc. But, there is no double billing with any that I know of.
When you win your bid, call the company that you will be using and see what their rules are concerning this.

Ive gotten rental cars through Priceline plenty a times and there is never a problem. When you check in at the rental kiosk, they will swipe your card again, but that is for incidentals. When you return the car, and there are no incidentals, they'll print out a receipt for you showing your balance as zero.
