Priceline Bid or Cypress Pointe

Just wondering-
Would you bid on Priceline for a resort level room located in the Disney Zone, or stay at Cypress Pointe. 2 Adults, 2 Kids(10,13). I figured I would spend about $100 a night either way in October. I can't decide if we should gamble on luxury, or stay at the condo.

Tough question! All I can say is we stayed at Cypress Pointe a couple of years ago and we loved it! There was lots of room to spread out and good facilities for cooking after a hectic day out! Also, there are lots of good restaurants closeby.

If the money is the same I'd take Cypress Pointe. Comparatively, a two-bedroom CP villa is just more comfortable than a hotel room, even a suite. CP's location may be as close or closer than some of Priceline's Disney Zone resorts. And I'm not so sure that the 'resorts' are more luxurious than the Cypress Pointe Resort.

Since October is slow season, I think you could get a much nicer Marriott vacation club property for under $100/night...we have done that many fall times.

Thanks for your thoughts. What kind of bids are you getting from priceline for "resort level" rooms?

We tried Priceline for the 1st 3 nights of our trip a week or so ago to see if we could get a 'resort level'. We tried for 2 days bidding upto $85 per night, we got nothing.
We are all ready staying at Cypress Pointe the last 3 nights of our trip. Have stayed here numerous times and love it.

I would go with Cypress Pointe 2 bedroom. Everyone will have space to chill out and privacy. There is nothing worse than 2 people waiting to use a bathroom. You can keep breakfast stuff and snacks in the unit or choose to cook if you prefer. It's very close to WDW.
