Priceline and Trip Insurance

I have purchased trip insurance on an upcoming stay at World Gate. I feel that I am getting hosed on the amount I'm paying when I could have gotten the same room on hotel.com for $20.00 less per night. Live and learn but what I was wondering what do you have to do in order to use the insurance?

2) Basically death or illness of a person travelling or immediate family member If you're well enough to travel and stay in another hotel your claim will be denied.
