Hi everyone,
I just wrote a long post but I don't see it anywhere! I hope I don't end up with 2 posts about the same thing on here.
I have been interested in Priceline for a long time but it really scares me, I guess because you can't cancel the reservation no matter what.
I've been reading about the process on Biddingfortravel.com, they have lots of information on this website but I am still hesitant to try Priceline.
One thing I see on biddingfortravel is that the Hilton in Downtown Disney is given in the RESORT category quite often. We have stayed there and I really do not think it can compare to the other resorts in this category...Marriott World Center, The Dolphin and The Swan. I would not be happy to bid in the Resort category and get The Hilton.
I find it very tempting to try Priceline for a weekend getaway at DisneyWorld, but I'm not quite ready yet! I would be interested in hearing about your experiences using Priceline for your DisneyWorld vacation.
Thank you,

Thank you,

From your DIS name can I guess you work in a school? If you are nervous about what you might get while bidding why not do a SURE thing. Call the Dolphin directly and ask for the teachers rate. I've used priceline lots of times even for cross country trips (using mapquest to estimate where we'd be when). I've gotten georgous properties for a song and some that I wouldn't have been happy with for $2
. Good luck with your decision. Priceline has some amazing offers, sometimes, but the Swan/Dolphin offers teachers & nurses a sure thing at an amazing price.
