Does this price seem right ?

We think we are going with the g.v. concierge b/c it's the same price as the lagoon view non-concierge.

What do you think? We knew it would be an expensive trip...I've compared prices with 3 agencies and they all come within a few hundred dollars of each other. This is the "cheapest."

Well, I checked on Expedia and the room rate for May 1 for your room was $440/night which I figure comes out to $3,418 for the room. So I guess the question is can you get airfare and tickets for the difference. Since you don't say where you are flying from it is kind of hard to tell.

The Utlimate Park Hopper for 7 nights I think would be about $950 total. However, are you sure this is the best choice. What time do you arrive and leave? You don't really want to pay for a full day if you arrive at 8 pm and leave at 7 am. Are you planning to spend a lot of time at places other than the main 4 parks?

The other problem with a package is that normally if Disney runs some codes or other promos you aren't able to take advantage of them.

Thanks, Carol, for your help. Disney broke down the airfare and it comes to around $600 for the 3 of us (which I think is pretty good!). We arrive to Disney early and leave in late afternoon, so I think we would use the parkhopper for all 7 (or 8) days. Thanks for figuring out the prices for me via expedia. I hadn't checked there. Looks like this isn't such a bad deal then (esp. with the insurance, etc. which I always purchase now since 9/11/01 - I was on my way to Disney on 9/11, so now I really appreciate insurance (among other things)

Seems a little high. There should be room discounts available for the first of may. I am thinking Poly GV Conc should be had in the $270 /night range. Which would be:


Room $1890
Passes $1017 less if you get a discount
Total $2907

If a legit airfare estimate is $600 that comes to $3507.

Like Carol said is the UPH what you want. If you are going to the park 8 days, you may want to consider and AP which would help with your room discount.

Disney packages are convienant not economical.

I agree, I think you should wait this out. If you wait til Jan/Feb. to book the vacation, you should be able to get the room for 250 or 270/night with the codes or AP discounts when they come out. Would 7 day park hoppers with plusses work for you? that might be less $$ than the UPH... depends if you are going to be doing the waterparks more than twice... if you are, then the UPH would be the way to go (since it allows unlimited waterparks)

Does the Dream Maker pkg include meals onsite? If so, it might be a little redundant, since (I believe) the conceirge services provides continental breakfast items, snacks, and light meals ( chicken ceasar salad, wine and cheese, etc). Have I got the packages mixed up? If those things are included in your room rate, paying for 3 more meals a day might be overkill.

thanks again for the info, everyone. The dream maker package just includes the UPH, rooms and one round of golf or something silly like that, plus two free "pins". LOL nothing major. No food though.

How does everyone come up with these much cheaper room rates of $270? Am I missing something here? I don't have an AP or DC membership...just AAA.
