Price Range - Confused?

Hi all:
For meals that have a price range, how do you determine where in the range you will fall?

Late August is value season I believe...would that mean my prices would be on the low end of the range?

I have several ADRs for places that have ranges (Tusker House breakfast; Hollywood and Vine breakfast; Ohana dinner). I've done some math just kind of guessing mid-range, but I'd like to do it out for real to make a once and for all decision on dining plan...

Disney will tell you exact prices if you call 407-WDW-DINE and tell them which restaurant and meal you want and the date you plan to be there.

The range is for ALL restaurants in a category. Not just the one you are looking at. So your prices could fall anywhere in the middle of that range. If you're looking at a character meal, the range includes the price at CRT...which is higher than all other character meals. So you need to check menus online to get an idea of the cost, although that may or may not be exact, or call Disney if you want the exact cost.

I looked up Tusker House for breakfast and the range was 36-59.99 per person. I called and it turned out to be 28.75 per person for late August.

Without calling, I'd suggest looking on one of the other sites, like touringplans or AllEars. They will give a much narrower range of prices.

Prices on the WDW site all fall into one of only four different ranges that are intended to cover all of the dining locations. The range doesn't tell you much at all about the prices at a specific location. It might always be near the upper end, or always near the lower end.

And of course, at those locations where you order off a menu, it all depends on what you order.

RustyScupper - THANK YOU for the table. It appears that child's pricing is not listed on the Disney website. Makes a huge difference for us when calculating costs.
