No word yet on Poly price per point or points per night (it is the combination of those when compared to other resorts like VGF that will really tell you how much more expensive it is than other resorts). As to whether DVD will have savings in building costs, undoubtedly building costs per sq ft are a little higher than they were when VGF was going up, but there will be no huge master bathrooms, full kitchens, or w/d's in those studios, the lack of all which lower costs from other resorts.
As to expected prices, since there have been multiple price increases in 2014 at other resorts, they are likely going to do the same thing that they did when VGF went on sale, i.e., set an opening price that is little less than one other resort (BLT in the case of VGF and probably VGF in the case of Poly) so buyers will think it is starting at a bargain price when in reality the starting price will be significantly higher than the actual sale price at which the majority of any prior resort was sold. I am guessing $170 per point. Moreover, I suspect points per night for those studios are going to be close to VGF lake view studios because they can justify the higher price based on having larger rooms than VGF. In any event, Poly will likely be a hugely popular resort for sales because it is the Poly and it does what no other resorts have done before: (a) make it easy to reserve studios, a lesson undoubtedly learned from VGF where most buyers bought only enough points to get studios and now are finding it can even be difficult to get studios at times at exactly 11 months out; and (b) offer connecting studios for up to ten guests but likely at a total point cost less than a 2BR at VGF or even BLT.
