Price matching at the grocery store?

My local ShopRite recently posted signs saying that they will price match against competitor's ads. I have 2 ads (1 from Target, 1 from Stop n Shop) that have great deals that I want to price match to. Do you usually do the price match at the cashier or do you take the items to customer service?

FWIW - Target is advertising 12" Digiorno pizzas for $3.99. They are usually 7.99 around here. Makes for a cheap meal! Stop n Shop has Francesco Rinaldi spaghetti sauce for .99/jar.

Thanks!

I've only done it once at Walmart. I did at the register because that's where I see others do it.

I wish Brunos/Foodworld would price match, but I'm at the grocery store 3 times a week anyway , might as well go to 3 diffrent ones.

Too much effort for me. I'd just go to the 2 stores. The one with the ads for those products and the other store for the regular items.

Target is about 10 minutes away and if I go there, odds are that they won't have the pizzas in stock (I've had that happen more than enough) and I'll end up buying other things that I don't really need. This way I'm only making one trip but still getting all the good deals.
