we are going to dw on feb 21 to feb 28. hopefully we will get a hotel? :confused3
if i were to bid on a hotel that is in the Disney World Vicinity and 3 stars what would be the 1st min bid i should do? has anyone ever won a 3 star bid i am hoping the hotels aren't too dirty?

thanks

First I'd do some research. One of the best sites to search is www.biddingfortravel.com it will give you the list of "known" hotels for each star level/vicinity. This way you can check out the hotels first and be sure you'd be happy w/ any of them. You can also look and see what other people are bidding on to get a ballpark of what kind of rate you'd be looking at.

I've used Priceline twice for WDW area. We've gotten the Sheraton Safari as a 3* for $37/38 a night (I don't remember which exactly). This was in 2004 though- and I know it goes for an average of $10 more a night now. We've also gotten the Holiday Inn Nikki Bird as a 2.5* for $27 a night. I thought this hotel left a lot to be desired. If I were to priceline again- I'd stick to a 3* or better in the WDW area.
