manning - I know exactly what you mean.

The last time my Wife and I were in the DS, the salespeople wouldn't leave us alone. One of them saw that my wife had a 'Princess' purse, and immediately shoved a Princess antenna-ball into her hand.

Now, if DW would have seen it there lying on the shelf, she would have HAD to have it. The sales person people were so annoying that we dropped everything and left.

After doing the math for a 6 night UMP.

Old and new advance purchase price $313.00 +tax.
New at the resort/park price $325.00+tax.

We can't get the DVC discount in advance, so 325 x .9 = 292.50 !
Thats a difference of 20.50 off the price of the advance purchase.
292.5/313 = 94%(rounded).
So in effect our discount is only 6% off the lowest price everyone else could pay. If you add the DC discount into the mix.
DC price 296.85.

296.85/313 = 95%(rounded)

A DVC member will pay only 1% less , not counting the cost of the DC(t 29.95/yr ).


Some deal huh.
Lets see 29.95 divided by 14000.00 equals .....

So wheres that post about DVC going downhil ....
