Price increase for BCV

Given the pace of sales at BCV do you think there will be another price hike $82 or $83/pt?? If so when would you expect it??

I don't think we'll see another price hike in the immediate future. I wonder whether sales have slowed with the recent roller coaster stock market conditions? My guess is that it'll be 6 months-year and maybe not until DI opens until we see another jump in price. JMHO.

The law of supply and demand demands a price increase real soon. When you can more than 40% of something before it opens and the buyers can see it, you are selling to cheap. Now when have you seen the words cheap and Disney in the same line?

I wonder how much of the 40% were current member add-ons. Also new members who were patiently waiting for BCV to go on sale. I would expect the pace to slow down, people who will be buying the rest of this year are more likely to be new members who are just being introduced to DVC.

The early add-on purchasers also benefited from a "sale" at the same time an increase had been announced. I think that helped push the strong demand. If you were "on the fence" I think knowing you could pay $10 less than you'd pay in June would have been a big incentive. If the demand continues strong, Nuthut and Johnnie may be right that supply and demand will bring about an increase. I just don't see them pushing their luck at this time. Too many people are worried about their finances and some may still be questioning traveling.

I was going to purchase in 1999 but decided to hold off when I heard rumors about BCV. Glad I was able to get in with old price. I agree price increase will depend on economy.

BCVOwner2002.... Same goes for me. It seems like I had been waiting forever for BCV. It was just a "rumor" when I first looked at DVC so I waited not so patiently. I probably bought more points then I should have, financially, but I wanted to get them before the price went up.

We were in WDW in June but can't wait to go "home" in June '03 for the first time.
