Price difference worth it? WL vs POR

Hello! We are planning a trip in December and are trying to decide if it is worth the $500 -$600 extra to stay at WL or if we should stick with POR which we love. We have stayed at POR twice in the past two years and really like it, but were looking to go to see holiday decorations and heard WL is the place to be. Just wondering if others think the price difference is worth it, and what some of the advantages are of WL over POR. Thanks so much!

I must say, if you are looking for that wow factor, stay at WL. You will know what I mean the minute you step into the huge main room upon entering lodge for check-in. This resort is one of our favorite as far as decorations go, too. Its also nice that you can just take the boat over to MK. The pool area is great too. Now I have never stayed at Port Orleans, but I think it is like OKW. That said you could get alot more out of your trip with $600.00 plus in extra spending money. Either way have a wonderful time.

Having stayed at both, all I can say is yes, yes, YES!!!!

I won't say I hated Port Orleans, but it really didn't do much for me at all. Wilderness Lodge on the other hand, was the best resort experience we've ever had. No comparison between the two.

As for advantages, here's a few key ones:

1.Everything is located under one roof, and activities are right outside your door. At Riverside, you could have a good 10 minute walk each way to get anywhere.
2.The rooms are MUCH nicer at WL. Not much bigger, but appointed so much better.
3.You're a quick boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom.
4.Food choices are much better at WL.

We split our stays between a mod and WL, usually 3 nights each. This year, we're doing 2 night at a mod, and 4 at WL. We love it there.

We have never stayed at POR, but have stayed at the WL twice and are going back for our third stay in December You will LOVE the WL, especially with all the Christmas decorations I have heard great things about POR, but having stayed at the WL (and seeing it at Christmas time), I would definitely say it's worth the extra money

We have been to ASM once and WL the rest of time. I am not sure that we could ever stay anywhere else. We are going during the holidays because of the decorations, well that is one of the reasons. But I think it is worth the extra money!
