I have seen the Personal Navigators that some have posted and it shows a "drink of the day". Is there a price difference, or is just considered a featured drink? Just curious. :umbrella:

I have never bought one but I think it is just the featured drink. I did think I heard one of the drink servers say that refills were half price on drink of the days though???

They usually make a batch of the drink and it is not very strong at all, tastes a lot like juice or a wine cooler, and the main difference is the drink of the day can be purchased on embarkation day in one of those souvenir cups for around $6.50 and then all "refills" are $4.50 however you can get the drink of the day without the souvenir cup for $4.50 as well. The other "specialty" drinks (higher price of course) are much better in my opinion but my DH who is not much of a drinker always gets the drink of the day. Price wise it is all pretty reasonable depending on the type of alcohol.

Drink of the Day in my experiences have been made to order and is usually less expensive than other drinks. You certainly don't have to get a souvenir glass (more expensive). You can ask them to make it in a regular glass.

What I find puzzling is that some drinks are different prices depending on what bar they are ordered from with no rhyme or reason.

This makes sense

I have seen the Drink of the Day made in a batch before but on my last cruise on the Magic in August they were all made fresh and were very strong

It depends on where you order them. The full-service bars make them to order. Places like the pool deck where they set up a portable bar will have the DOTD pre-made in a vat, which tends to be weaker and not as good. The MDR's may very well have them in a vat as well.

A vat? Like a cauldron? This has potential for extreme witchiness!

Actually it was from the pool side bar that they were made fresh as we were sitting there watching, not a vat in sight like 2 years ago.
