ok so this morning I was able to get onto the Disney UK site. I know the 2017 year has already been released for the UK. and I wanted to get some idea of what my trip is going to cost next year. I was able to use a pounds to dollar converter and I am honestly scared at the number I saw...it was about 2K more than what I was expecting. Grant it on the UK website they give you extras...they have a deal going on that you can get 14 day tickets for the price of 7 days and this includes ALL the disney parks. We don't usually go to the water parks, so we won't get that on our tickets but I can't believe that could be making that much difference. I only put in for hotel, dining plan, and tickets and it was crazy expensive. I guess my question is, do things tend to me more expensive going from the UK site vs the US site? Or should I expect those types of prices when they release 2017 rates on the US site. Ugh I really hope not cause I have my heart set on staying at the Poly, but if those are the prices then I might be rethinking my resort choice.:sad::sad:

I can't answer your questions as to the UK v. US, but I will tell you that Poly is often one of the most expensive hotels whenever I price deluxe. I'm constantly amazed that people are paying that much to stay there. I think being a monorail resort really increases the price. Have you tried pricing any of the other deluxe resorts that aren't on the monorail but conveniently located to parks? I'd look at Wilderness Lodge, Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk if you're concerned about proximity to parks.

What about price comparing dates that are available on the US site? That should give you a feel for the overhead that's built into the packages.

Thanks I have sort of looked into Beach Club bc I think its an awesome resort and absolutely beautiful and I know my kids would LOVE the pool there, but we are spending a little more time in MK than in Epcot/HS. We have stayed at Contemporary and Grand Floridian and the prices were not that bad, BUT on our stay next year my older DS will be 10 and my toddler will be 3, plus we are staying 2 nights more than we usually go, so I guess those prices just add up. I have my heart set on staying at the Poly only bc we have stayed Contemporary and Grand Floridian so now I feel like we should be staying at Poly, lol, but if prices are going to be like that I think I will have to rethink my resort choice and we might either stay at Contemporary again bc the kids really liked that resort or try to convince hubby to stay at an Epcot resort...my hubby likes the access to the monorail, even though on our past 2 trips there have been issues with the monorail, LOL.

I did this but its hard to get a good comparison bc I am not really sure where my dates would fall to set up "mock" dates. We are planning on going March 2017, and March is here and gone now so I can't really see what things would cost going by the same dates as this year. I did a "mock" plan for dates in November for the same amount of time which came up 2K less than the price on the UK website...so I guess only time will tell, LOL. I wish June would get here already so I can see the prices and book things and not have to keep worrying about stuff like this.
